Stop Crying Your Heart Out Rodri Banner

Oh well it backfired it seems but I'm glad we highlighted their shithousing, crying, self centeredness. We weren't going to win this tie with the state of the team this year anyway.
Id expect them to do the same in the return leg, or maybe they will have some decorum.

Because they're city fans just like you and I, and they were representing city when we were absolutely shite, they certainly didn't jump on the bandwagon when we started winning. They're also one of the most well known bands in the world, so why wouldn't the club want to associate with them as both fans and for marketing purposes.

I get that many people don't like Oasis because they're deemed, pop culture, too mainstream, too played out, too annoying. But that's personal choice, ultimately I can't see any issue with the mutual friendship.
I hate to be pedantic, but I think it should be "like you and me".
Think of "like" you" and "like me" = "like you and me".
You wouldn't say "like I", would you?
I hope you don't think I am a grammar policeman.

You’re entitled to your opinion as is everyone else but if you have an issue with 1894’s banners, we do invite banner suggestions from fans so feel free to mail any ideas in.
I don't have an issue with their banners although the Muppets one was, in my opinion "tinpot". I suppose my issue with this banner was the wording of "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" which I found to be arrogant. We've won one European Cup and Rodri is the first player to win the Balon D'or. Instead of antagonising Madrid who are the most successful European team, why don't just focus on ourselves, especially when we've been absolutely wank this season by Pep's high standards.

Do a banner of Rodri kissing the Balon D'or by all means, perhaps using the wording "Can We Talk About Rodri" instead?

all well and good, but why FUCKING OASIS, this constant association with that band is nauseating
I'm not a huge fan either. Much preferred Pulp, Blur, Suede, Gene back then. And The Fall, Inspiral Carpets and Stone Roses are/were Manchester area bands who make far more interesting music, in my opinion. But I think it's obvious why Oasis fit the bill: Passionate City fans who make huge sing - along pop/rock anthems, with topics such as cigarettes and alcohol. Subtle as a sledgehammer but ideal for fans to belt out at matches.

Not sure that 'Animal Nitrate' or 'Eat Y'self Fitter' would translate as well to the terraces

You mean, imagine being arrogant enough to take the piss out of a complete prick who (supported by his shit house club) completely disrespected both Rodri, your club and the entire football community? If you want to criticise, criticise who you refer to as "one of the best players in the world" (which he actually isn't) and not your fellow blues.

Rodri loved the banner by all accounts and was seen taking photos of it. That's enough for me. Fuck Vinicius Jr, fuck Real Madrid and fuck anyone who thinks it's ok the way they carried on.

The banner had zero impact on the result or his performance, it's all propaganda, we lost the game because currently we are shite. Don't look for others to blame.
Take the piss out of the man of the match who on another day could have scored a hat trick? Who gives a fuck whether they turned up to the awards or not? Since when did we start giving a shit about the Balon D'or, it's organised by one of the most corrupt organisations in world sport.

Let's focus on us eh? Not those twats
