Too late for me to watch it live but I've seen the pen. and his injury. A leg injury of some kind. Possibly ankle.

Been watching videos of the lad don’t get the hype. He turns on a six pence drives forward, beats men for fun with a drop of shoulder and change of pace and direction. He can finish pass and take corners. No way he suits our style of play. Don’t want to see him turn and drive want to see him pop a five yard pass back the way it came and probe relentlessly without taking a risk or committing a defender.

After hearing so much about his potential I'd be incredibly disappointed if he was subsequently shipped out on loan.

Far better for him to study Savinho's gradual development and progress from young speedy lightweight (with no end product) to somebody who works hard when the opposition have the ball and still has enough energy to produce goalscoring opportunities

Savinho has obviously worked on his physicality and there's no better place for learning than the rough and tumble of the Premier League

Should stay with the club to learn the language, the country and the team. If we don’t get a real 10 which might not be a MUST HAVE he should stay anyways. By our injuries which might continue next season due to all these games he will get game time anyways.

I don't see how you can say that. He is young and might need to develop a little more physically but what a player. I just hope he is OK after that injury. I couldn't tell what type of injury it is.
He's a wonderful exciting talent but incredibly raw and physically weak. He will need time to mature and strengthen and also settle into a new culture and country.

I remember people saying that about David Silva ;-)

I hope we keep him around and he gets the odd start. Depends how training goes I guess. Most skilful player I have seen, at his age, for a while.

In a couple of years he could have vanished or he could be a star. I think and hope it’s going to be the latter.

David Silva had played in LaLiga regularly for several seasons and for a big team, big difference.

Wonder if the 3 week rest rule is in place for youth tournaments.

This guy needs a rest anyway. He’s just played a whole season and then an international tournament.

Such is his ability though that I am not sure his slightness of frame is going to be a big issue. To the first team squad and prepare!

Silva was playing for Eibar in the 2nd division at just 19 which is the same age as Echeverri now. He was 20 years old and 6 months when he made his debut for Valencia in La Liga.

And Echeverri has 30 games for River Plate. I strongly hope he goes into City's first team squad and we take it from there.

If there was any chance he could play for the first team we would not have allowed hin to play in this tournament.

This lad is for the future, I would expect a season long loan in the summer.

He stands out in a youth tournament, for River Plate he showed flashes of brilliance but often went MIA.

He's a kid that will need time to learn his trade, toughen up and learn a new language and culture, I am sure he will be with Girona next season.

To learn the Spanish language and culture? ;-)

To play in a tough league, against high quality players.

They may speak Spanish but still a new culture and learning curve for a young kid leaving home for the first time.
