Newcastle United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

We were linked with Guimaeres who is a very good player but Nico Gonzalez made a fantastic debut. The comment from Pep about a mini-Rodri was one a lot of blues were making. On the bus home I heard loads of blues making that comparison.
Pep should know after seeing them both in the showers

Shearer was absolutely fuming wasn’t he. There was no false bonhomie there he was mad as heck!!!
Oh dear I’m sooo upset for him. (Not) :-)
You forgot to mention Joe Hart smiling his head off while he was having his little rant : )
Bitter old slap head.
He praised everyone’s win, apart from ours obviously.

No sunrises, Merson, Shearer and the likes bemoaning the space allowed and defending of Newcastle. Well in tune with the negativity brought into the league by the Premier governing bodies themselves. All to accommodate the red tops. From the dippers thuggery, tarquins dark arts and rags up and under, rugbyesque football. All of these teams being permitted to manhandle opposition with no action being taken. Whereas City again, playing pure., honest, entertaining football. The Premier League has become a money making machine at the cost of the beautiful game and not fit for purpose.

The first time for a long time where our team genuinely excited me.

Hungry, aggressive, quality and enthusiasm.

Add 3-4 more young top class players into this squad and we will have one hell on an exciting future with a new side.

Think I'm going to go outside for a walk

Not dressed in that colour you're not

How nice for Macatee and O'Reilly to get game-time with the new signings. They are both very good players imo.
Pep has seen the light on squad size, so these two become more important and hopefully more used. They are decent. Potentially 70 games next season. I see McAtee as the guy who ensures Phil gets rests and O’Reilly as almost anywhere in defensive roles when needed.
