Wonderful to see not only them losing their shit and conflicted on a-morons future, turning on ex players who are media whores like neville but also despairing that the shitshow that was Anthony is now cooking at betis with three 8/10 performances and goals, every rag that leaves this squad seems to improve away from them

sinking in that it is the club that is rotten and will continue to kill careers

Nailed on I'd say.

The top 11 currently are simply better sides than them.

Spurs are better than them and if they turn a corner and stop shitting the bed, they'll finish above the rags no worries. Spurs are better than their current position really.

I can see Everton finishing above them. Moyes gets flack but as West Ham found out, the grass isn't always greener. He's a decent manager, he'll have Everton back as a solid mid table side.

So I reckon it's 14th place at best for the rags. Probably battling it out with Palace and West Ham for 14th, 15th and 16th.

The club still thinks it is The Fergie & Gill Show, but with The Rat cleaning out all the old dross, and making it pay for a seat in the dilapidated stands, he is finally trying to remake it in his own business image…which also seems to be dying on the vine.

Sadly(?) for Rags, they’ve fallen into the Dipper trap…past prior success is a predictor of future performance…which everyone knows is a falsehood!

The Rat has a loooong way to go if he is serious about turning that ship around, and he is going to have to pray that the revenues that have sustained their debt, and kept them even the least bit relevant, don’t fall off the cliff! (Pun intended!)

Mismanagement at a glorious Manchester club in the late 60s and early 70s led to a decline that lasted 40 years, as other, better managed clubs, passed them by. United are in danger of treading our well worn path, unless someone unleashes the financial shackles on clubs and allows outside investment.

Goal difference is usually a good sign of how good a team actually is compared to their position. Spurs are plus 12, and the rags are minus 7. The rags are exactly where they should be, whereas Spurs have the 7th best goal difference in the league.

stuck with a whole host of overpaid players who nobody will want to pay decent money for.

unless by some miracle (or bent refereeing) they qualify for european football you'd have to think their sponsors won't need to cough up as much.

and any new sponsorship deals will surely be nowhere near enough to refloat their sinking ship.

how long can they afford to keep sacking managers and replacing them with even more mediocre ones.

which highly-skilled senior management candidates capable of having any impact on the decline would be foolish enough to go there right now.

you'd also think the glaziers will continue to bleed them, with zero intentions of selling up to anyone who could actually turn their fortunes around.

catweazle is doing his utmost to make things worse, bless him.

presumably they could increase their ever-increasing debts to fund more player purchases but which top-notch ones would even consider signing for 'em any more.

i personally know a bloke in his late 60s and his 3 sons in their 40s who have been lifelong season ticket holders but are sacking it off from next year because matchdays are ruining their lives emotionally and financially.
there must be others doing likewise
and who in their right minds are going to replace them.
long gone are the days when swamp tickets were like gold dust with a 7yr waiting list.

young children globally nowadays in search of a team to begin to follow don't give flying fuck about the long gone glory years,
they want to support a club who are worth watching,
so, unless they already come from rag-supporting families, where are the next generation of fans going to come from as the current crop either die off or fuck off.

sadly there are worse teams than them this year and it's unlikely they'll go down,
but if the 3 newly-promoted teams next year give a good fist of it and the rags have a poor start to the campaign then maybe just maybe our dreams might come true,
because their heads are already down and no other teams fear them any more.
when your backs are against the wall you need leaders on the pitch and in the dressing room but it appears they have none of those either,
and as many of us remember only too well,
when a badly-run club goes down it takes an awfully long time to resurface.

we are very fortunate to witnessing this karma,
because that's what it is.
they brought this on themselves.
it's a joy to see their ex-player pundits visibly hurting inside, resigned to the fact there is no hope whatsoever on the horizon.

what's great too is being able to recognise a rag fan from a mile off now,
because they've had that everpresent smug smile wiped off their ugly face.

but best of all is that their distress is compounded to the nth degree by our success.
it's ripping them apart and boy do they deserve it.
