Far too many on here are completely blinkered where Bernie is concerned. He’s been brilliant for us overall but for the last 18 months, he has been complete and utter dogshit. He offers absolutely nothing defensively or offensively. If you play in midfield and don’t offer at least one of these, it’s time to find a new sport.

I'll say it again, Pep just looked at their FB pairing and thought playing with no width at all was a good idea, as amazing he's been in the league for us, his tactics in the CL over the years never cease to amaze me, I'm actually shocked we've even managed to win it with him at this point.

really hope we do a big rebuild in the summer. Stones, Bernardo, Gundogan all need to be replaced. quality wise and quantity wise too. Ederson, KDB must be at risk too. these players gave whatever was worth giving to City. whats left in them, I am not sure we should hold onto them.

We do need to spend big if we want to compete. We will need to land the likes of Wirtz to compete with this level of competition. Debruyne, Bernie, Gundog, Walker were all that level but now past it. We need top level investment to set us up for the next decade. Good start this window but that needs to be the start. Tall ask.

I totally agree. And if we dont this summer in terms of getting who Pep wants, expect next season to be similar to this one
