The one time he actually did run at their defence he created a chance, yet he continues to just past the ball backwards and sideways 95% of the time.

he is not fast enough to go on the outside, and we don't play with attacking fullbacks, so only thing he does is cut inside and shoot

Should be benched for at least month the way he's been playing and the effort that he seems to put out. Doku, Grealish, McAtee and O'Reilly don't deserve to be sitting the bench for Foden to ghost 3 times a week.

Dropped off a cliff but he's another one I feel has just been absolutely stifled with the way he's asked to keep possession, it seems to happen to a lot of our attacking players for some reason, keep the ball, don't try anything too risky, rinse and repeat.

His lack of efforts probably fucking boredom, I can't imagine having to constantly play the way we are when your talent is getting forward quickly with quick passing yet we only do it once every 3/4 games.

Seen him move more whilst sat in his fishing chair for hours on end than what we've seen from him on the pitch this season. Don't know how he's still starting when he's not doing the basics.

What the fuck has happened to him? 12 months ago he was ripping the prem to bits. Before the Euros, numerous of England players at their training camp were saying Phil is the best player in training by a mile. Ever since he put on an England shirt in that first game he’s been a shadow of his former self.

I want the Phil Foden that used take the ball and weave through a few defenders with ease back. He’s 24 and he hasn’t had a major injury, legs don’t go at 24.

Been the case all season. He's mostly just on the fringes of the game these days.

Us city fans defend him a lot because we know he's very talented and he's often got called overrated by fans of other teams but I can see why he doesn't get the same praise elsewhere. If you never got to see him as often as city fans and your point of reference was big games like tonight, or international games, then you could definitely wonder what all the hype is.

I think him only ever playing under Pep at senior club level has made him heavily reliant on us playing well for him to play well. He's been moulded to play for Pep. That's why he often struggles elsewhere for England too.
