Most people i know say X is a cesspit and wouldn't miss it.
Most of my interactions/views are by links posted by others. I don't visit by direct choice etc.

Would show Trump/Musk/Putin real democracy in action.

Farage would appeal to the younger base that closing down X is closing down freedom of speech and soon after Facebook will go, Tik Tok etc ... enough people, especially youngsters would not be willing to quit social media seen as they are completely addicted to it.

Sorry Rob, you are missing the fact that he is the biggest and best businessman in the universe. He is able to make the bestest deals the world has seen in the history of the world. Did you not he is a "very stable genius?"
I think he is playing to his base, showing them what a tough guy he is, how to get a deal....the man who sold the world!
"Look we have a big beautiful ocean between us (and a wall to the south and oh yes, we will buy Canada & Greenland) so we will be OK but we will just rinse everyone else"

I know I shouldn't but I had a little check on Fox this morning and there was Gutfeld slagging off Mark Hamill for his trousers falling down and slating some non binary civil servant for theft, whilst a quick flick to CNN was all about actual world news that was a little more serious.
A little isolation for them perhaps wouldnt be a bad thing!

You should always take everything Donald Trump says seriously. You shouldn’t always take things that Donald Trump says absolutely literally. And I think that applies very much in this case.

There’s a lot of bad blood between president Trump and previous Ukrainian leaders. You know, the impeachment that happened was all because of a relationship between the Ukrainian government and the Biden family. So let’s be clear. Zelensky is not a dictator, but, but it’s only right and proper that Ukrainians have a timeline for elections.
I mean, after all, I recently said that I thought Keir Starmer was behaving like a dictator because he’s cancelled the vote of five-and-a-half million people in local elections on 1 May. So no, he’s not a dictator, but there needs to be a timeline so that the Ukrainian people can vote on a peace deal.

The only thing worse than Trump are the apologists for him.

Ukraine said "show us the evidence" There was none.
Ukraine investigated anyway and found there was no evidence.
Democracies operating under the rule of law need proof to throw someone ubder a legal bus.

Farage hasn't gone against Trump, just taken the "seriously but not literally" squirm, then gone on to demand Ukrainian but not Russian elections, and made a ridiculous comparison to UK local elections as a diversion.

He's supporting Trump whilst trying to maintain plausible deniability to challenge. Typical of the slimy git.

Not to mention the justification made for Trumps vendetta for Zelensky refusing his corrupt attempt to influence Ukrainian justice.

But if there are two superpowers in the world, in America and China, and one of them is giving the bums rush to Europe, Ukraine, Denmark over Greenland, Canada and Mexico. Then what is stopping everyone allying with the other one, China. Perhaps Zelensky should call Beijing and offer half his mineral rights in exchange for military assistance. The EU could do a trade deal with China, so could we. And Denmark could sell them Greenland. Why is the US and its bully President the only show in town?

I have wondered in the past if Ukraine has tried to do a deal with China. seeing as they clearly will sell stuff to pretty much anyone.

Europe as a continent can rival both if we have the willpower to do so, we will never agree on everything but why should be forced to abide by either the yanks or the Chinese?

If Putin gets the land he wants in Ukraine I wonder if China will help bail him out by buying Outer Manchuria at a lowered price.

It's so obviousand simple, I don't understand why none of the negotiators have been able to see this.

They can just pay me a single billion of the frozen assets for helping them out of the hole they're in...
