Liz Truss

I think May was a true MP and cared for her constituents and country even though she was a Tory and a bit of a useless PM.
I know someone who lives in her constituency and also previously lived in Johnson’s constituency. He agreed with you about May and said Johnson was a completely useless MP, and he had dealings with both of them so it was from personal experience.

Cameron had decimated Labour by empowering the SNP and he also killed the Lib Debs when he invited them to govern with him
What he tried to do was destroy Farage and any Brexiteers and if he'd succeeded would have solidified the Conservatives into power for a long long time
Presumably he thought he was infallible but in retrospect his decision to make EU membership an election issue was probably the worst prime ministerial decision since Eden on Suez or Chamberlain before WW2.

Let’s not forget how loud Farage and the UKIP brigade was getting though, they were flying out the false patriotism and misinformation about the EU - eventually something was going to give and a PM would announce a referendum on this issue. Not sticking up for Cameron but I think the vote and Brexit would have happened sooner or later.

Yes. It is to our eternal shame that she was ever PM, and to our eternal credit we fucked her off within a month or so. And we had the lettuce. She will always be the lettuce. The iceberg that sank her Premiership.
Yep, the most famous iceberg since the one that sank the Titanic.

Agree with you about Blair and Cameron. Both came across as statesmanlike. And as much as the jury might be out on Starmer on that score at the moment, he shits all over Liz Truss
I agree he's on a different plane to Truss. But that's a drastically low bar.

I'm not defending Cameron on this issue either but that's a good point. And didn't Blair also once promise a referendum on EU membership? Difference being that he (wisely) reneged on it, whereas Cameron didn't

Liz Truss, the only politician to make shitgibbon look sane. You only have to look at her eyes to see there's nothing but a cauldron of chaos going on behind them.

Cameron made the mistake of over-estimating the intelligence of the British public, and under-estimating their gullibility. Bare faced liar Boris and the rubber faced racist did the rest

Imagine the cries to leave the EU under Musk and Twitter
