Better Slot than Arteta, definitely. But which set of supporters would you least like to see gloating - that's a tougher one.
Its pretty much a wash apart from the managers.

Worst Players - Arsenals are somehow worse and the biggest bunch of fannies/cheats in the leagee. Arsenal 1 pt
Worst Fans - Dippers have to take this but Arse run them close. Liverpool 1pt
Worst Managers - Arteta no question - Arsenal 1pt

Liverpool to win it over arsenal for me.

Not sure. Surely if it was serious he'd be off somewhere getting it looked at. He'd have had three more days rest before we play Liverpool.
That tie was over in the 3rd minute. No point bringing him on, i wouldnt read anything in to him not coming on on wednesday.

There's no chance he would do a half time sub tbh. Foden has been mostly cold all season, a lot like his team mates. The space that Marmoush and Haaland run into is crying out for KDB imo.
I'm not sure we want KDB in this game unless he starts and you pull him with 60 on the clock. He can't play any more minutes per match than that. Khusanov-Dias-Ake-Gvardiol in the back. Not sure about anyone else but he's likely going to trot out Bernardo and Gundo for this match.

Styles make fights as they say. Liverpool have the players to hurt Madrid and visa versa. And both have players to damage us severely, again as they've both proven this season. Will be fascinating if they run into each other later in the champs lge. Madrid aren't exactly flying now in general anyway prior to stuffing us they've lost their lead at the top of the league and drew with osasuna last time out.
L’pool aren’t exactly flying either, scrapping a couple of their last wins, the nerves are beginning to show a little. In the league they have won four of their last six and so have we. If we can show a bit of fighting spirit like Villa did in midweek, we can do it. Yes they are quick on the break but they always have been but their defence isn’t all that.

No way does Foden deserve to start or Silva for that matter it’s one thing having a poor game but no excuse for their attitudes ….. fukin stinks
I can’t argue with that mate. I don’t think Kev can get through a game to be honest, so Foden will play a part at some point

I've not said its an impossible job by any means. But picking up points when you're not at top form is what champions do and that's pretty much what Liverpool are doing at present. And as I said previously they've got the players and a way of playing that can damage us. We've got to come up with a performance that we've not done for a long time now in a big game to get a result. I don't rule us out completely but they have to be favourites on Sunday.

Same thinking as me there.

It's clear evidence of just how despicable Arsenal, and their fans have become that the majority of Blues would rather Liverpool won the league than them.
Although Slott has shown arsehole tendancies, the clippy factor has gone.

Personally I don't run into dickhead dips or are fans for that matter.

Arteta is a bigger **** than slot. So I'll take them both to be done by the PL in double quick time for a 20 point deduction. ;)

You'd think so, wouldn't you?

I'd love to go back to how we played in EH's first season - before the world cup break - we were just about learning how to use him after so long without a no.9 and it felt inevitable that he'd score in every game. It was almost an anti-climax if he came off without scoring a hat-trick.

Often KDB would just whip a ball into space and let Erling show what he could do. And boy, didn't he!

After the world cup, we seemed to revert to type. Massively successful, of course, but Erl has never hit those heights again and has never looked so unplayable as he was before the tournament.

Obviously, this was before his natural movement and striker instincts had been diluted by the way we've used him since.

That miss in the Charity Shield - the one that Sky used as reason to suggest that Nunez was possibly the better buy (hehe, really?) actually demonstrated Erl's incredible instinct more than any goal he's scored - first to react to the shot and picking up probably 2 yards on everybody else in the first second. Honestly, when's the last time we saw him in predator mode like that?

I'm not in the 'sack Pep' corner, but I do think that the other coaches can't believe their luck at how we haven't really exploited him? I reckon that had he gone to one of the other top clubs he might have scored twice as many.

Hopefully with Moushy Erling will find more space and the old instincts will come back...

End of frustrated outpouring (for this season)

As far as I’m aware, we are Champions are we not and yes picking up points when not playing at top form is exactly what we have been doing. We have been awful most season and yet most managers and supporters would give their right arm for our league position. I agree we have to come up with a big performance, they have to be favourites, I would have said Newcastle would have been slight favourites last week, given their form is/was better than ours but that 4-0 win was a welcome surprise.

That 4-0 was a bit out of the blue and if we can get at Liverpool with the same tempo and get that front 4 working as well as they did in that game then yeah we've a shout.

We are champs now yes but we all know that crown is being removed in May. We've been mostly crap this season and have lost a shit load of games this season by our standard. Picked up a bit lately sure but the loss tally against us is startling. Liverpool on the other hand have lost once and continue to pick up points even in their below par performances. That's what I was getting at by saying champions win games when not playing well. Liverpool are doing that and are clearly superbly placed to go on to win the league.

Look we'll see what happens Sunday. If we turn up on form we've a chance. If we're below our best we will get beat. Liverpool at their best will beat us regardless what form we're in and this scouse side have the capacity to get a result against us even if they're a bit below their best. That's just how it is this season.

Fully behind us as a fan of course i am (that may not come across but it's true). Just looking at the game objectively where we're both at its hard to see past a scouse win. Hope I'm wrong.

Kick off time 16:30 (GMT).

We need Haaland back, if he's fit then I expect a performance closer to Newcastle than Madrid.

Need to get something here to stay in control of top 4 and we get to potentially ruin the nailed on title they thought they had as well.

I actually don't think they're as good as Madrid, so not expecting the gulf to be as big, could still get battered if we're not on it though.

---------------------Ederson
Lewis---Khusanov---Dias---Gvardiol
--------------------Gonzalez
---------??????-----------De Bruyne
Savinho------Haaland?------Marmoush

If Haaland isn't fit, god knows.
If Haaland isn't fit. Then Doku comes in on the left. Marmoush to the middle and Kovacic next to Gonzo
