L’pool aren’t exactly flying either, scrapping a couple of their last wins, the nerves are beginning to show a little. In the league they have won four of their last six and so have we. If we can show a bit of fighting spirit like Villa did in midweek, we can do it. I've not said its an impossible job by any means. But picking up points when you're not at top form is what champions do and that's pretty much what Liverpool are doing at present. And as I said previously they've got the players and a way of playing that can damage us. We've got to come up with a performance that we've not done for a long time now in a big game to get a result. As far as I’m aware, we are Champions are we not and yes picking up points when not playing at top form is exactly what we have been doing. We have been awful most season and yet most managers and supporters would give their right arm for our league position. We need Haaland back, if he's fit then I expect a performance closer to Newcastle than Madrid.
Need to get something here to stay in control of top 4 and we get to potentially ruin the nailed on title they thought they had as well.
I actually don't think they're as good as Madrid, so not expecting the gulf to be as big, could still get battered if we're not on it though.
