I never really understood the signing & the fee but I dont think he can be classed as a failure as he played a big part in winning lots of stuff including the chumps league.

The fee will influence the failure tag.

Not the lads fault of course, and I’ve long been a supporter of Jack, but that’s how it’s seen 100m Jack Grealish

One could summarize his inability to keep fit during his time with us, may be because he has been playing a position he is not physically able to play at a high level on a regular consistent basis.

It is what it is at this point. We won the league every year with him in the squad up until now… so it’s been far from a disaster…but I’ll just never understand it.
To play devil's advocate a bit, his fitness shouldn't rely on his position or how he's used. He just needs to be available more often since it's the minimum you need to do in any sport.

I can never bring myself to blame players for their transfer fees and whether they live up to them. They're based on things out of the players' control and between the things we've won and the absolute vibes he's brought since day one have been worth it for me.

If he was in favour enough to start vs Madrid, it's made 0 sense that he hasn't had any minutes when chasing games against Madrid & Liverpool. He couldn't have done a worse job than KDB or Foden were doing.

It's so damn weird since it appeared that Grealish was relegated to FA Cup games yet he started at home against Madrid. Anyway, I'm done making sense of any lineup or sub decisions from Pep this season.

I’d have thought 80% of us in the ground today would have thought he’d be on for Kev when he came off, but Pep being Pep putting a young lad on against them of all teams but sits them on the bench against shite
I was asking for McAtee for KDB at half time as we needed someone who can pop up with a goal.

Normally that’d be KDB himself, but he seems like his race has been run.

Really? 80%? Personally didn't once contemplate him being introduced but I also didn't hear a single "get grealish on" shout at the match. He's not the player you think of when youre chasing a game. Heard multiple suggestions to bring on Mcatee and kovacic and Nunes.

Whoever was wanting Nunes on must have been on piss all morning

I think the shouts were for mainly Nunes to replace Lewis which I wouldn't have objected to, he'd have added some legs.

Well that should have happened after Lewis got in a tangle which led to the corner from which they scored the first - but Nunes would have given a pen away so lose lose either way I suppose

I wonder if we’ll ever know why Pep hates him. Something is very off here.

Buy him for a staggering amount as a free flowing central midfielder then play him on the wing and wonder why he isn’t affecting games in the same way.

Then just ignore him.

I’m as blue as they come but I hope he leaves and plays football.

Mcatee is 22 with decent experience for his age, he’s not some teenager fresh from PE class.

dont see a way back for him this season was supposed to be a serious comeback for him for his poor season from last year with fire burning in his belly to prove Southgate wrong too. in his first two season he acknowledged he will need to improve his numbers of end products.
Pep said earlier this season when Savinho started to assist more that this is what we need from the wing goals, assists.

Grealish input in PL this season:
started only 6 games, subbed on few more times, about 600 minutes played only.
goals: 0
assists:1

lets be honest, we get any shit winger from Ipswich, Leicester, Soton and he can match this output in this side too with limited game time without 100m pricetag...

when we need the most for wingers to step up due to Alvarez gona, Rodri out, Gundo, KDb past it, Foden form off a cliff, Grealish could have come to the rescue in some form and he delivers 1 assist in the league and no goals. making this his worst City season ever.

Pep is probably like he got us only this in 600 minutes, why would I give him another 600 minutes...
if Savinho, Doku goes long games without end product, maybe he can find a way back for Grealish.
