Seen a comment earlier this evening (can't remember if it was on here or on social media), that he's been our Rashford this season. And I can empathise with the comment. Yes, he's been "ill". But even now he's back, he looks somewhat "couldn't care less". Has he started to buy into the hype he attracted last season?

I said to my mate at half time he needs hooking for Bernardo.

At least with Bernardo there’s a chance he turns up to get stuck into the scouse bastards.

Foden was gone fishing again today, next game he'll have a blinder and get the plaudits followed by a 5 game run of mediocrity again.

He needs benching for the remainder of the season, or until we get a proper reaction from him, if he still wants to reach his potential that is.

Playing him in the hope that he gets his game together, consistently, isn’t working.

His first touch was abysmal today; for such a talented player that simply shouldn’t happen.

The first touch thing suggests there's something seriously wrong doesn't it? It should be a given for top players and for a player who's previously had a magical touch it suggests a big underlying problem. If he was a golfer maybe it'd be the yips...

It is a bit odd.

Even though he’s been well off it for the most part this season, his problems have been to do with the strength of his running and not taking people on, not influencing the game.

The ball was just bouncing off him today.

Pep keeps picking him too. God knows why. He has been dross this season.

I'm going to always have some sympathy for players like Foden and Bernardo just because just because of the number of positions Pep has them playing.

A disgrace for me, losing form and confidence I can accept without question but a lack of fight and laziness is simply not acceptable.

Whatever his issues are, they need to be sorted and quickly, the Foden of last year is a distant memory, has he lost his hunger and love of the game? It looks that way to me.

I made that comment and got hammered for it but it's true.

Pre match on the City channel they were showing highlights of previous games against the dippers, Foden featured a lot, just watch the Foden of the past and watch him now, something has clearly happened it's like two different players/people.

The old one played with swagger, a smile on his face and would run through the proverbial brick wall for the club he loves, the one this season is lazy, arrogant, miserable and constantly moaning about been tackled or complaing to his teammates.

Where is the real Phil Foden?
