I’m 32 but he’s the best I’ve ever seen in a City shirt. Above Merlin, Yaya, Aguero, Kompany etc.

It’s rare that you watch a player and recognise he’s in the prime of his career right in front of your eyes. But I‘ve had that feeling with Kev over and over again. From the absolutely sublime to the ridiculous (in a good way) and leaving the stadium speechless/in awe when he made a pass. A thunderbastard of a shot on him. Pressed well. Tackled well. Led the team well.

And he worked his bollocks off all while doing it. And when doing it in big games, big moments and winning every trophy possible.

This past season is just that, 1 season in an otherwise perfection shrine that he’s built for himself since joining. Should be - and will be - remembered for being an absolute genius of his craft.

He’s the greatest midfielder this country has seen. Sadly injuries and age have caught up with him.
I would say more to do with injuries rather than age. He’s had many episodes of injuries where he’s been out for at least four consecutive matches or much longer lay offs, that’s bound to take its toll on the body. Many players who go through their career pretty much injury free ie Salah, van Dijk ( one long term injury), seem not to be so near to retirement from top class football as KDB.

Definitely done. He needs to go for numerous reasons - mainly that his body is all but done and the game has changed and his physical condition is being exploited, but also factoring his contract being up this summer and the wages he's on, but also that the leadership team needs a break up. Haaland was captain last week and moved into the leadership group - we need to move forward with the spine and leadership of the team being Ruben, Rodri and Haaland. Walker and de bruynes race is run, and there's no shame in that. They've won the lot

Kevin de bruyne is the greatest player I've seen play for manchester city. We've done the lot, we broke all records, and kev was the jewel in our crown. I used to rate his game by orgasmic moments rather than rating him out of 10, because 4 or 5 times a game he'd do things that would have the whole stadium swooning.

It came out last week that he played through pain with his hamstring when we won the treble. I actually think his body has been showing signs of wear and tear since he was 29, and that the past 4 years or so he's given it everything he had, and delivered. But we've been caught out this season, and there's no shying away from the fact that we need a refresh. I don't want to see kev walking round the pitch next season like we saw in the last days of Yaya. We need a refresh, we tried to push it one year too far and we've been caught out, but we've made history so take our medicine and move on

Just enjoy him for the rest of the season and win the FA cup. Everyone goes away a winner then we wait and see what Peps next and final iteration has to offer. Kevs incredible achievements will be one for another day

He’s getting absolutely roasted on social media for that shot but they can laugh all they want he’s the greatest premier league midfielder and the moments he has given us I will never ever forget. What a man

His body can't keep up with his brain and it's very sad to see. I think peak KDB was the best player we've ever had, at least in my lifetime.

I'm confused how his ball-striking, weight of pass, and football IQ have all gone at the same time. Also, he started the season very well.

The San Diego rumours are back in full swing, I am amazed we would let him go there are not NYCFC, or are his injuries that bad and the club feel he would be too much of a liability in New York?
Can't wait to watch a fat KDB make a mockery of MLS
