Away fans / tourists in home sections

You’re right, they will be the best in the league. However most city fans won’t be using them or have access to it.

The entire expansion is being built for tourists
In a manner of speaking
Fully expecting the old skool blues in the central blocks of the East Stand like 104/5/6 to be displaced and shifted up there, so they can charge tunnel club prices to tourists for their old seats

It kills me what we have become. I mean, i know its a consequence of our success and i wouldnt swap a single second but match days have drained me.
First to go 100% is champs league. Boring as fuck and then the big games are full of tourists. The real madrid game confirmed what i already knew, out of the scheme next year.

Then big league games like yesterday have the same feel.
And its not just inside the ground.
Public transport, parking, access. Its like the club/council are doing everything they can to make it all feel shit.

Ive had a season ticket all the way through from 1985. But one thing i can promise you all, and i know this absolutely factually as heard it from the horses mouth; the bean counters dont care about us and care about a bum on a seat spending money.

Said this before, the men at the top are BRILLIANT at their jobs but none are blues, some arent even football fans , so they dont/wont understand where WE are coming from. Snd i realised this when i said to one of the men near the top when in his company, “pisses me off that you keep increasing SC prices when united have froze theirs for years”. His reply, “yes but they are shit”, and laughed.

So there you have it, whilst we experience success they dont give a fuck and we will pay for it.
Be interesting if we have a proper dip, which is possible, and when the tourists slope off, will the bean counters come creeping back round us?

Serious change of direction is needed from the club. The most disconnected I’ve felt to the club, and seriously considering packing it in. We really have lost our identity. A huge sense of guilt saying that, after generations having had STs.

The club are relying on the fact that it's fucking hard for us fans to stop going. What City should be thinking is how hard it will be to get us back, if things go tits up.
I doubt I'll be going back, May could well be the last time I visit my birth town.

Look I know what’s going on is shite. But in my opinion if we were going into yesterday’s game 8pts clear at the top there would have been less tickets floating about for tourists and Liverpool fans to pick up. I bet a lot fucked the game off because of what’s going on,on the pitch.

Before Pep and before ticket exchange we had loads of season card holder on tickets that were priced very reasonable and they wouldn’t turn up to the less fashionable games and seats were left empty and that’s how we got the piss taken out of us with the emptihad.

If we have to have these half and half cunts can we not just put them in their own section?
Funny you should say that. A mate of mine has a few friends in Munich from his time working and living there. Most are 1860 fans but there are a couple of Bayern fans too. What Bayern do is have a separate section at home games for tourists so they’re not encroaching in the main home areas and diluting the atmosphere.

I concur with some of the things you say but Liverpool at home and 90% of our fans have left before the final whistle. The stand / tier with the cheapest ticket prices emptied first. I can understand families leaving who’ve been drenched but not in South Stand L3??

It would have been rocking had we’d been winning 2 nil.

Flip side is that stand is a joke to get out off. Not defending it but having two exits for 4,000 or so people isn’t great.

I've been a season ticket holder for over 40 years. Never thrown a punch, never chucked a missile, lit a pyro, not indulged in racist or tragedy chanting (victims has no connection to any tragedy). I'm a noisy cantankerous old bastard granted, and I can ruffle a few feathers simply because I dont suffer fools, but I love my Club.

I am currently banned by the Club for an alleged incident with an over-zealous steward at Brentford in January. I was given a choice by the arresting officer, a trip down to Feltham nick for a few hours, or the incident could be treated as a Section 14 Football Related Incident. By going the Section 14 route I could avoid the trip to Feltham and get on my way. The case would then be dealt with at Court. I chose Section 14, which unbeknown to me at the time, automatically brings GMP & MCFC into play.

By 9am next day I received an email from the Club suspending my SC with immediate effect and told that I could not transfer, exchange or donate my seat. I can continue to pay for my seat but cannot use it, pending the outcome at Court.

The letter from City states "this ban is not an assumption of guilt". Well City, yes it fucking is, and guess what, you can now sell on my seat to any scouse, rag or tarquin who has the money to buy it, whilst still taking my DD payments.

I have no set Court date, no contact from The Met and cannot watch my team home or away.

Meanwhile, the Club take the opportunity to make money out of a longstanding supporters misfortune.

Up the fucking Blues...but fuck you isn't very far down the road.
FFS - sounds like you’ve been proper stitched up there mate as they’ve clearly not explained all the consequences of going down the Section 14 route.

Why all these horror stories when we play them home or away

Fucking embarrassing, we don't have these incidents when playing the Rags.

What the fuck is going on. Everyone intent on protecting them, even if I means hauling Blues out.

As you probably know, it takes forever to get to JMW after the game.

From halfway up SS3 it's a good 6/7 mins just to get clear of the ground, again not helped to people wandering about and don't get me started on whatever people are doing in City clobber so not Co-op visitors walking against the crowd on JMW.....where the fuck have they been?

I agree Matty. I’ve been in there a few times and it takes an eternity to get out of.

I can understand fans being frustrated at watching Phil Foden play like Carlton Palmer too!

I didn’t see the start of the incident in 115 but saw some of the aftermath and the fan being carted out up the steps by about half a dozen stewards as the punches rained down from all angles. I’m now hearing that he might not have been a Liverpool fan as such but perhaps one of those TikTok/blogger types as apparently he whipped his phone out and filmed the away fans celebrating after the first goal went in. Still a stupid thing to do in such a high profile game in the most hostile part of the stadium.

Loads of City fans were getting lifted in the second half, presumably because of their alleged involvement in the incident so I can see a fair few bans being handed out and more season tickets being rescinded and sold as match day tickets to the delight of the bean counters at the club.

The only good thing about SS3 emptying early was it didn't take long for me to get out for a change..
Even most of the regulars that sit near me fucked off before the added on time..
Was even ok getting tram back to Ashton for a change..
Mind you I would have preferred a long wait getting out as it would have meant we won.

You can only be banned under s.14 after going the court, but the club can ban anyone it likes at any time.

Fell asleep on the train home with the weekend catching up with me. I’m really too old for pre match Jaeger Bombs in Mary D’s but I’m not sure I will ever learn.
