They will win the league this year and deserve to but they aren't that good.
The liverpool teams of a few years back who were in title races with us and didn't win it are a lot better than the current team
They will win it because salah is having the season of his life and he is easily the best player in the world atm and could well win the he balon dor . Thibk it’s his final swan song

You know what's really puzzling me? Salah and VVD are similar ages to KDB, Gundo, Bernie. And they last 90 minutes, are not goosed and are fitter and faster. I don't think it's just that they probably benefit from asthma medication * there is something more going on. Are we being coached in a dire way, are we knackered? Just such a stark difference between the ' oldies' ( ffs when was 34 old???!!) in either team. That lot are comfy in games, ours most decidedly are not.....

And the media run with it.
Somehow we’ve been sucked in to allow the mere mention of the H word be it either Heisel or Hillsborough as being a criminal offence. It’s now a hate crime. We’ve allowed this to happen. The Scouse murderers have got away with it on both counts. Not only have they got away with it they’ve turned it full circle so that now the mere mention of either H word and you’re the victim, not them. How the fuck have they got away with that?

I have argued for years that ( i have to be really careful choosing my words as people jump down my neck before I've finished my theory) Hillsborough was the saviour of LFC.
After Hysel they were the scum of Europe but Hillsborough created a wave of emotion and a softening of attitude towards Liverpool that everyone was sympathetic with them.
The Sun's headline further entrenched people's opinion that they were a hard done by fan group.
The media subsequently backed off to the point that to appease the dippers they wouldnt touch Hysel or any other indiscretion for fear of offending anyone associated with Hillsborough.
That stance has continued to this day
See Colin Mafham for reference
I also firmly believe that clubs who could have looked for compensation for loss of earnings for the European ban refused to go ahead for fear that they would look greedy and insensitive on the back of the Hillsborough disaster

I hope this is true.
Apparently after the match, as sky were speaking to the pundits in that little room, the pitch and one of the big screens could be clearly seen.
Someone at City kept putting Champions Four in a Row onto the screen.

Please can someone confirm this.

And can the person responsible be promoted

My view too.

They did because Sky Post match host ( I never know his name) commented on it. Not sarky or vicious, infact he appeared to think it was amusing and back at the Dippers and TV audience.

It made me laugh, I thought for once we were ' fighting back' in a small way to remind the world what we did and how it will never be done again. And especially as Dippers to date have only won it once.

Cap doffed to that individual!

Neither of these 2 have been involved in 4 on the bounce, trebles, etc., and therefore aren't burnt out.

Four years recovery since their last Premier League Trophy...so they should be fitter and faster!

Salah is at his peak condition right now, he was scrawny in his mid twenties. People develop at different rates. Also obviously cuts no corners off the pitch and had no major injuries. Van Dijk hardly moves since his knee injury but they cover his deficiencies by surrounding him with pace.

They pushed us until the last day in 2022, and only dropped off last season when Palace unexpectedly beat them 1-0 at Klanfield, same day as Arse lost 2-0 to Villa - which to me effectively sealed our title win.

So no I think there is more to it than ours just being goosed.

I can't stand the mythology surrounding their fanbase, but Liverpool deserve to be Champions, and unlike Klopp. their new Manager and players, all seem decent blokes.

My only gripe surrounds the media and the way this game would have been covered if the injury situation had been reversed.

I hope this is true.

Didn't go the game as I got back from Scotland Sunday afternoon, but I did notice on the telly some of Liverpool's backroom staff were punching their palms and shouting in the direction of Robertson after Savinho had just done him again and earned us a corner.
Obviously their tactics were for him to kick our man at every opportunity.
Shitheads
