If that's the case it would be a PR disaster and rightly so.

We make a quick profit but the damage to our reputation would be huge in my opinion.

If Delap genuinely wants to come back and become part of our squad it's a no brainer of a deal but if he doesn't then let him go to the club of his choice.
What reputation, the cheating bastards one.

115 is a very different story, once we are cleared it's up to the club to take any remaining "cheating" voices to the courts, that's long overdue.

But the possibility of bringing back a player on a buy back , then immediately selling him on at profit does not feel good to me and I would not have any issues if the media/football pilored us for that.

As said IF Delap is happy to come back and be part of our squad then it's a no brainer.

We did it Angelino sold him to psv for around 5m with a buyout ought him back for about them same then sold him for 15m ! Also buying back will give us control to who he goes to! I don't want the rags chelsea Arsenal buying him then he scores 20+ goals a season! We could of done with him against Liverpool because he is more a Haaland type payer and we have no one in the squad equivalent!

Saying all that can't see city buying him back!

I wouldn’t say it’s common in other leagues but it’s certainly not unheard of. No one really blinks an eye as it’s just smart business
Madrid did it with Morata - brought him back from Juve for a season then sold him for double what they paid.

No problem with sell on clauses
I wouldn't like the club to be buying back players who have buy back clauses and then selling them on straight away to make a quick profit
That’s why I said “at worst”, but let’s face facts, why should we not make the £20/30mil that we are entitled to? It’d be madness not to.

Player gets paid signing on bonuses etc from both clubs as well? Maybe Delap gets a top move, makes millions of pounds as do us?

Nunes lives on!

Didn’t KDB say he wanted to stay yesterday? Would be strange if he had been told to find another club.

I don't find it strange at all. The agents of those players in the exit list must have been told some time ago. One can speculate KDB & the co should already have looked into options, but decided so far none is attractive enough to tempt him, hence he might have wanted to see if there was any possibility of him staying, probably in much reduced capacity. Who knows.

He’s a reliable journalist

If that's true, wouldn't that have a detrimental effect on those players, It would be on par with your boss telling you you are being laid off in 6 months, you'd think sod that, I'm not putting a shift In, whats the point, It would be just an excuse to down tools.

We need to target players who will be leaders on the pitch.
If walker, gundo, de bruyne and bernardo leave, that's 4 of the 'captains' going.

This was obvious on Saturday when de bruyne went off and ederson had to take the armband as there was nobody else suitable apart from him and Ake.
