I dont think Vance would patsy for him in that scenario. He might say he will but once he's president I dont think he's givng that up. Theyre all snakes

I don't think Trump will cope with the concept of standing down.

I genuinely don't see how it plays out but him pushing for a 3rd term or scraping the election is a serious contender.

Him sitting back wile a primary goes on. I just don't see it.

Could be. But if he angers Trump and Trump turns on him ala Pence — and a host of others — Vance’s political career could be finished. He could get primaried in 32 if someone uses the then-dead-or-too-elderly Trump’s negative view of him against him.

I wonder how much damage he can do until the 2026 midterm elections hopefully means enough American voters will mean he loses control of the Senate and Congress.
And with luck a Democrat presidential candidate emerges for 2028 that has a real chance of winning.

I don’t agree with the right to arms as they see it now.
I still remember my first visit there when I was 18 yo and only being a day in NY and being robbed at gunpoint.

But, how they administer this and who they will administer against is of interest.
Why now does he want to disarm the public and who specifically will he target.

Call it a distrust generally of his motives. I do however agree with disarming the public.

You'd have to ask the Americans in here, it's been a while since I lived there. You need to experience which way the wind is blowing, what folk are saying at work and in the streets. Trump's poll numbers are slipping that's for sure and he has no plan to get the price of everyday essentials down.

Musk might be flailing but those public servants being shown the door, well the ketamine kid is going to find out soon enough that they actually do deliver a service, a service that keeps the show on the road for everyone, not just the poor. A fucked up response to another natural disaster, a catastrophic infrastructure failure, they'll be no hiding place if all roads lead to the hollowing out of the state.

Trump didn't get where he is by building bridges, no broad church for him, he's one hell of a divisive guy, he thrives on it, I can't imagine there are too many fence sitters when it comes to Trump, but his narrow appeal means he is heavily dependant on his base, coz he's not going to be making any friends along the way. And if he doesn't deliver to his base real quick he's going to find out just how deep his support really is, my guess it's thin, very thin, how thin only our American posters can tell.

That video is from 2018. Bondi was then FL attorney general, it was after the Parkland school shooting. She was talking about changing FL law to take guns away from people who have been civilly committed, i.e. adjudged mentally incompetent and sent to a facility for short-term monitoring. I'd hope any sane person would agree with that.
