He hasnt got the physicality to play midfield nor the pace to play fullback. He is a tidy intelligent player but he'll never be a regular starter for us(or shouldn't be). If he's happy to be a squad member playing in the league and fa cups, and giving our better players a rest against bottom teams in the business end of the season I would definitely keep him in the squad.

Pathetic comment

Who needs enemies with supporters like you?

Well, his win ratio for us this season when he plays justifies my comment. As does his performances. I knew we would win today without him and lose with him on Sunday.. and he set the tone then. Don’t get me wrong we have a plethora of problems this season but his volume of game time is probably the biggest. So yeah, let’s say I don’t rate him.

At 20 years old, a rotating squad player surrounded by a fully functioning team is exactly what he should be.

The club has a long list of problems it needs to sort out and Rico Lewis isn’t one of them.

Him being exposed is a symptom not a cause in my opinion.

He doesn’t have any athleticism, nor the ability to compensate for it. He’s also partial to a brain fart and is woefully caught out of position all the time as well as being unable to read the flight of the ball.. again constantly caught under it.. both the later Nunes is guilty of.. the difference is Nunes actually has lots to offer in other areas which Rico doesn’t.

You’ve said this a few times now.

Rico isn’t going anywhere anytime soon as he’s a free player in the squad due to his club trained status.

Probably better putting your energy into supporting him, rather than crucifying him.

Yeah I’ve said it a number of times, and for good reason. Free player in the squad?? Jesus, talk about deluded, look at the quality of free players in the squad we have let go of in the last few seasons and give me valid reasons why this kid gets the nod. We have let far, far, far better academy players leave for decent or next to no money so fail to see your point, unless you can explain to me why he merits special treatment?

Anyway, feel free to bookmark my comments for 2/3 years time and you’ll see he won’t be with us and struggling elsewhere.

He’s still here. There’s little point discussing the players that have left. None of them have won what Rico has won.

I’ll leave you to your crucifixion.

The most ridiculous comment on the internet. He’s contributed to winning nowt mate, just lucky to be where he is, but it won’t last…

Clearly a fan. In that case, I’ll ask you the question that I’ve asked every other person who defends his inclusion, honestly, what do you see him bring to the team and performances? What do you think he does well? I’m genuinely interested, in case I’m missing something.

Edit. Every time I ask this the Rico defence goes quiet, either logs off, goes to sleep or can’t think of anything is my guess.

Mate, I’m not interested.

If he’s in a City shirt, I’ll support him.

He’s not even played tonight and you’re giving him all this shite.

Nunes was getting shit all night despite putting in a performance better than Lewis ever has. That’s my point. So apart from playing in blue and being a loyal academy player what does he bring?

Strange that he gets criticized. Young, hardworking, versatile and homegrown is a solid foundation already. He is technically very good and fits Pep's philosophy. He is fast enough from what I've seen. He will become better and better at positioning. A future starter surely, would be a shame to give up on him because hes not the finished product yet.

You’ve just made the next hour of your life excruciating when Beanhead replies ad nauseam.

Finally, at least you said something, albeit I completely disagree. Hardworking and homegrown I’ll give you though.
