Just thought I'd say how much I miss David Silva

One of my favourite City players of all time. Easy top 10, maybe top five.

A lot of his great moments from down the years have been mentioned in this thread but the one that stands above the rest for me, and was the highest mark of his genius, was his slide-rule ball to Nasri in the 3-2 win over Spurs in 2012.

One of those moments where literally nobody in the ground - not even Nasri - felt like that kind of pass was on. Silva was just moving from right to left at the base of the midfield looking for options, and then without even so much as moving his head to face the Spurs goal he found that pass through the middle to give Nasri a 1-on-1.

The pass takes six Spurs players out of the game.

Wondered when you would show up.
He was though them 59 goals in the premier league , megging people for fun every week in fact he was probably better than him let’s have it right

A true artist, and the football field was his beautiful canvas.

There's not another City player who has ever given me greater pleasure than the magnificent El Mago!

Don't be boring Jack, shall we compare his record with your idol?

Best not eh

David Silva gave me most pleasure in watching him play, especially at games. His nimble feet and jinking skills gave me joy in my heart especially when he'd be surrounded by players, he'd come away with the ball and often thread it to Aguero, and he mostly knew whare he was in an instant. The telepathy between the two was Incredible, I can't think of another City pairing who complemented each other so well.

I was always worried both Silva and Aguero would cave in to Madrid or Barcelona who were always linked to them but they never did. I'm very grateful I got to see David Silva(and Aguero) play 10 seasons for us. Not only was he a fantastic player he was a model professional and only in the news for the right reasons, not in the tabloids about sordid antics which certain players have been.

The only sad thing about him leaving was not having the opportunity to give him a proper send off which would have been special and emotional on seeing my favourite ever City player for the last time. Alas.

Maybe time to give one’s head a wobble , let go of the past and face the future !
Yeah there isn't enough time in the day to even think about a great player of ours, every waking moment we must be facing the future:-) whatever the fuck that means.

Pmsl at that attempt.

Why aren't we winning anymore daddy?

Some fan mentioned David Silva son, ruined it for everyone.

I liked Silva daddy

don't mention that man's name again, now go to.your room and face the future.

A pleasure to watch every week. The best I've ever seen in a blue shirt personally. Kev and Yaya have the blockbuster highlights but Silva made football art. A majestic player, a pure genius.

Yes!! That's it! I've been struggling to put my thoughts about David to words but that's it. That's exactly it - I'll poach that from you now.

My favourite City player, my sister bought me a signed, mounted Silva shirt for my 50th, its my prize possession. That Nick L should never post on this forum again BTW!

On holiday in Gran Canaria a few years ago we went into a little bar and they had a picture of David playing for City over the bar.
We got talking to the owner who said that David was the big hero of Gran Canaria and how proud they were of him.
City were definitely more popular than most English teams because of El Magoo.
Absolutely wonderful player who would without a doubt be able to play for any team in the world when he was in his prime... luckily we got those years..
