I'm not a financial person in any way but if the PL is awash with money how are teams not turning a profit?

Let's say we live in a village and potatoes cost a penny a lb, the laird comes in and gives all of the villagers 10 times as much money to live on but the bloke who sells potatoes now wants 10 pennies for a lb?

What's the point in having the money?

just gave me a headache that post

I imagine he is in the conversation, can't see many places that claim that though?

Yeah I get that, I just think irrelevant of the team to behave in a way that we complain about, when people talk about City just shows a dose of hypocrisy. Talk of they can only run away with a league (like that is a bad thing) and there isn't a race so nobody is arsed is just a bit sad for me. Appreciate everyone might not think that and they are welcome to them thoughts, without being sworn at.

All the clubs set targets at the start of the season and only one will say they are the champions, from 1st to 4th Champions League places is City target every season, then you have 5th and 6th places in Europa League, Now add the FA Cup and League Cup winners and bonus Europa League places.

If City don't win the title and it's by 1 point or 20 points it makes no difference really, the 20 points gap should be enough to finish 4th or this season 5th

LIverpool once they have officially won the title and have 5 or 6 games in hand will drop off, also if they are still in the Champions League they will focus on that, so I don't see it being 20 points at the end

No doubt these vile bastards will be allowed to spend with impunity in summer. No questions asked if they spunk £100m+ on Isak.

We, of course, will have every transfer scrutinised in the media, and every chimp with a keyboard will be crying about us being ‘state owned’.

As if we don't have enough of them every single one of their league games televised on Sly in April. Don't recall us getting blanket coverage. Thank feck we don't have to play them and do yet another guard of honour. Arse oth may have to!!

You don't recall us being on TV all the time? Really? We have played a handful Saturday 3pm games under pep. They're top and on course to win the league in April, of course they're going to want to make sure that game they do it is televised.

The state of this from the National Broadcaster - they declare that Liverpool have the strongest brand in the PL. funny that hit the link they provide and you get the following headline

Fucking BBC can’t even lie properly these days.
Sorry mate but you've misread that and the BBC are accurate in their reporting. It claims we're the most valuable brand and Liverpool are the strongest brand. 2 different things.

Their losses here can pretty much be entirely put down to them not being in the champions league the time the accounts cover. However, when you've got a £600m wage bill, the money doesn't go that far. Dipper media will have us all believe Liverpool don't spend money but they've always been right up there on wages. Youd have to be to convince millionaires to spend their 20's in Liverpool.

Their squad will be on for a big win bonus this season, so any extra money generated from winning the league will be eaten up by that, then if they want to keep any of Salah, taa, or vvd beyond this season, they'll have to pay big money, and if they don't, they'll have to pay big money to replace them. They'll have champions league money to offset that but they're not going to be flush, their academy isnt producing much and they don't really have many sellable assets so can't see them going on a spending spree anytime soon.

Did the bbc run a story on us being the most valuable brand? Thought not.

The point of a football club isn't profit I would argue, although Liverpool fans have been banging the net spend drum for so long it's definitely a stick you can beat them with if you find yourself in an online argument with a dipper.

SSN news ticker: Both Merseyside and Manchester derbies will be shown Live in April. Along with ALL FIVE Liverpool games on Sky Premier League.

Says it all.

Thank you. That's the point I was making. We definitely were NOT on TV every game during the April and May's when we had either won the league at a canter ( 2018, 2021) or even when we were involved in a title fight. This really is blatant bias on a par with their adoration of man yernittid.
