He’s only 24, and has been playing for the most demanding coach in world football.

The mental, as well as the physical strain that comes with performing at the highest level for four consecutive years, with hardly any breaks, was bound to take its toll on the players at some point.

It’s been said many times, but the first time I heard it was Ian Botham talking about David Gower: form is temporary; class is permanent.

I am convinced Phil will soon be back to his best.
Spot on. He is still our second highest scorer in a poor season. All great players have sticky patches of form but class is permanent. Phil still works relentlessly on the field. Never a lack of effort from him.

Spotty Muldoon hasn't scored for 18 consecutive games, even Bradbury and Samaras weren't that bad.
£72 fucking million quid!
You've just got to love the united scouting network, then you have Zebedee, Lenny Yoyo and Matthijs de Shit, throw in the PSG reject Ugarte, Coco the clown between the sticks.
Says it all really , that Maguire is now their most consistent player.

Fucking beautiful !

Shearer must have been on commission for pleasuring himself over Fernandes. If he is actually that good why has he wasted 5 years of his career at United, why aren’t the big clubs in Europe sniffing round him?
I seem to recall his agent touting him around Europe for 12 months before rags signed him. No decent club went in for him then, hence him signing for the rags.

This is the shite that the rags now serve to journalists at the swamp because of scruffy Jim's cuts. (Scrambled egg and mashed potato). City should do likewise for the snide media shithouses at the Etihad.
No surprise that our friday lunch-time press conference with Pep is full to the rafters with rag journo's getting a free feed, before they head off to Old Scaffold with their bellies full to flutter their eyelids at "Honest" Amorim's pressers.

Hojlund reminds me very much of Bradbury. He seems to have no idea of where to run on the pitch. He seems to follow defenders instead of finding space. Totally useless.

The circling of the drain, took another loop closer last night.

The FA cup would have been a chance for European football next season.
They are now down to having to win the Europa - which is probably the easier option + CL rather than EL.

But losing to Fulham is quite a few more millions knocked off their revenue.

If Real sociadad (or anyone through to the final), knock them out, that’s a load more millions of revenue gone, and the knock-on effect of no European football next year, with its many millions of revenue gone…

Plus the chances of them getting back into Europe the year after, look decidedly slim, even if it’s over a year off… and that knocks out even more revenue from sponsorship- 2 years out of Europe in a row is a 10% reduction in just their kit deal apparently.

It won’t be this year they get relegated, it’s probably not next year either, but the drain hole is getting ever closer and with quickening speed, and as they spin ever faster around it, it gets ever harder and potentially impossible to swim away from inevitably.

there is no way back, without a takeover, and which investor, is going to buy an overvalued, low level of return, plummeting value, vastly indebted, crap assets company…

No one.

History is littered with companies that were monopolistic, monolithic behemoths… that then didn’t adapt, change… because they thought the gravy train would last forever.
A most recent example is Intel… they had dominated the world of PC chips, but now they are staggering about, reeling from the continuing rise of longterm rival minnows AMD, and newer upstarts using ARM design chips.

The problem is they need to replace 11 players and have no money. They still owe £400m transfer fees for their current crock of shite squad. They are doomed unless they are taken over.

And Fattymiro strolling about for £300,000 a week.

Need them to get just far enough in the europa league without winning it so that he doesn't get sacked.

The caf seem to want him out if he doesn't win it.

Would be funny seeing them spunk a load of cash in summer buying players to suit his 'style' of football then sack him a few months later like they did with ten hag.
The hilarious thing is even if he does get the boot, whoever takes over will still have the same shit players & no money to spend

But whoever takes over might come up with tactics more suited to the players at their disposal.
It won't be pretty of course; it will be as simple as their fans, but nor will it be called out by the media.

I turned it on when I saw Fulham were winning then turned it off when the rags scored as I thought the inevitable was coming of them getting a stuffy winner.

They really are in bad shape with their turgid kick and rush football. How much did they spend on Danish Luke Chadwick and he hasn’t scored for 18 games, this whilst they have Rashford and Sancho out on loan on big wages that they can’t shift. It’s delightful stuff.

Sancho will only have a year left on his contract in the summer - and given he’s shit with a huge ego and wages to match they won’t be getting much for him.

What do you want calling out? They are getting pelters left right and centre and it's hilarious.

I agree a different type of manager could come in and have a more basic approach that might be more beneficial for them, they are half trying to do the right thing by going in a different direction and the key for interim is he gets time to do it. If that is the approach then you need to give the required time and a few windows to get his men. That was the beauty of them keeping tent peg, he had the summer window to ruin them more.

Peps first year was an anti climax, and he had Yaya, Kompany, Gundog, Kdb, Silva, Aguero, Sane, Fernandinho, Stones and Sterling. We got handed a few slappings but we had a clear plan. They are years behind where we was so they would need to give him a whole lot of time for any kind of progress. They are stuck in the mud with little way out and I am here for it. Keep them languishing in the lower half forever more.
