Im not talking about running with the ball, everybody can run when you've got the ball, im talking off the ball, ive seen pep drag players off for a lack of effort off the ball that have put more effort in than foden this season.I disagree. He has been doing plenty of running but not being as smart as he used to be finding space. He may be mentally tired but he has never been lazy. He has just never got going this season after being brilliant last year. Mental fatigue and injuries have affected him, like so many in the team. When we get into a settled formation, like the Newcastle match, he will be back to his best. He has played a hell of a lot of football for someone still so young.
Go watch some of our games this season, look at the goals we conceded and look for Phil Foden. He'll likely not even be in shot for most of them because he's walking back and still in their half.
