Club World Cup - Summer 2025

Anybody heard anything back about tickets for this? I bought 3 and heard nothing since Jan 7 which is fine but I logged in to the Fifa account I created and can see nothing to say I have tickets or any kind of contact.

I'm excited about the tournament and fancied us to win it until we ran out of juice.

As usual the PL tell us and Chelsea to go fuck ourselves about starting our seasons later to accommodate.

The denigration of this tournament by the media here is sad as other countries are getting on board and excited about Europe V South America competitive clashes.

Can't help but think the UK sports cheerleaders would be hyping this tournament to fuck had the representation been the scousers and dippers.

It'll be something to watch before the season starts I suppose. Can't really see me getting any more excited about it than I already am (not at all).

I think all European teams should withdraw stating a similar message to what norway did about fuel supply to American ships.
See how much revenue fifa could pull in then for the tv rights.

On the basis I have persuaded the missus that a summer holiday in USA including a long drive from Philly to Orlando via Atlanta seems a great idea…. they had bloody better not…

Two lots of the fuckers, one is bad enough. “ been the scousers and dippers.”

I went to Saudi which was great - but the new format at the end of a long season is a joke. All clubs should boycott it until FIFA see sense are revert to an immediate knock out game rather than leagues and shit loads of crap teams from around the globe.

Does the winner automatically qualify for their confederation's next tournament - i.e. if we won it would we be in Pot 1 for the 25/6 CL?

UEFA are against the tournament even happening. So highly doubt they’re going to be offering any concessions in their competitions for winning it.

UEFA and FIFA are at war. This nonsensically expanded tournament, complete with a pathetically shameless ‘Messi invitational bye’, is the latter’s attempt to usurp the popularity of the Champions League

I think Pep will treat this as the pre-season tour.

Players that won't be with us next year will preliminary be told that they will be on the tour and may get minutes, but won't be prioritised.

I think it will be used to get Rodri up to speed for the new season, new tactical approaches, Echeverri's trial to see if he's capable or if a loan is more likely, and for Pep to establish a confirmed central defensive partnership for next year, of which I think will be Dias and Khuzanov.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ederson doesn't play at all.

Time will tell. But I’m pretty certain that the owners won’t want it treated like a pre season tour. And I’m even more certain that the manager of the first team isn’t going to go against the owner’s instructions.

This season has changed everything though.

I agree, I still think we will go out to win, but ultimately, Pep and the club know that with no pre-season this year and how inconsistent and poor we have been throughout this current campaign, this competition will have to be used in someway as a springboard for change going into next season.

Otherwise, Pep will be using the opening 5-10 games of next season almost as the tactical and physical drawing board which just isn't ideal.
