Fully aware they can keep stuff out of the public eye but I'd assume that if someone here is claiming to know the nature of such a story then either they work in the media or for that specific PR company or they or someone they trust has witnessed something directly.

Basically, don't make vague accusations. If the law is stopping you from divulging something, probably don't allude to it, for your own benefit. If it's something you can legally share the details of, go ahead.

Saying there's really bad stuff that people don't know about but declining to provide any actual information just comes across as shit-stirring. It's very easy to say that about anyone with absolutely no evidence so I don't know what the intention is in saying that.
My best guess from people I have spoken to who are closer to the situation is that he and Rashford have a very similar problem. Most of what these two have been up to hasn't been reported. If I was paid the sort of money these guys were on then I and probably everyone else on this forum would behave differently to these guys. Problem is they have contracts which they are happy to see out if needs be. Pep has alluded to issues with JG this season and probably did so after the treble season, not sure the words of wisdom have been taken on board and been acted upon.

Typically hysterical overreaction on here. Some of these posts are genuinely hilarious
He’s a grown man on a day off, he’ll be back in training tomorrow
There’s more than one fan favourite over the years whose lifestyle and off-pitch decisions have rendered them unavailable in one way or another.
If he was keeping fit and putting in good performances then fair enough, but he has been doing neither.

Are you the internet police?
Not at all. People can feel free to ignore me.

I have no doubt whatsoever that there are loads of stories we don't know, about Jack and all of our players.

And I'm not so naive as to unconditionally support any famous person.

I just don't think it's helpful to anyone to vaguely allude to some unspecified terrible incidents. It affects people's opinions of one of our players without any evidence or proof.

Seems to me that Jack's more in need of support and hard truths from the people who care about him than accusations and assumptions from people who don't even know him.

But no, not policing, and sorry if it came across like that.

Makes you wonder why Mahrez got so much hate and he was giving it his all while he was here.. yet with Grealish..

I digress.
Mahrez got a lot of hate? Grealish is getting plenty of it this season. It's fairly obvious his heart isn't in it. He's ponderous on the pitch and I bought in to the narrative that it's pep coaching it in to him but it's most likely just him, probably thinking about his next night out.

People take the piss out of Pep because Grealish has been a flop. Apparently these idiots think the GOAT Pep kills talent, and plays boring. Grealish being shit is because he was never a world class player, just looked good in a relegation fighting Villa team. Grealish never attacks his fullback and is a coward on the pitch imo. We brought him to be like Pires or Hazard a left attacking midfielder, but the guy plays like a DM playing at LW. Also, the backing he gets from the fan base just because he’s English and “a good lad” is embarrassing. He’s not a fucking player from the academy, he’s 100m and 350k a week. From Leroy Sane and Mahrez to Jack Grealish 0 goals 1 assist in a calendar year fml
We bought him to suit Peps system which is/was all about ball retention , worked to a tee in the treble season and no ‘shit’ players win the treble whilst playing virtually every game , since then he hasn’t performed anywhere near the levels required but for the record how many fucking trebles did Hazard and Pires win ?

Was thinking of Barton tbh but even he gave the shirt the respect the wages demanded even as a fucking lunatic.

If Jack is an alcoholic, he needs to step back from the game and sort himself out.
Not at our expense either.
Ye as much of a pleb Barton was, he always gave it his all

Its fairly obvious now why his performances are ponderous and he's rarely looking sharp, he doesn't take it seriously.

I'll give you an alternative viewpoint from someone who has close hand and very personal experiences with people who are self destructive (Alcoholics).

"the road to hell is paved with good intentions"

Being kind to people who are self destructive only serves to enable them. Alcoholics often are a victim of the enablers as much as themselves. In AA treatments, they look to find who the enablers are. Those who make excuses for the alcoholic, take away their pain, stop them from falling too hard to such an extent that they never get to hit the floor. It's only the harsh reality of the bottom that can save an alcoholic.

"They haven't suffered enough" is a phrase you'll here between alcoholics on both sides of the recovery.

"Don't help those who don't look for it" is another saying.

Jack doesn't need a soft mattress to keep him from hitting the floor. He needs to hit that floor hard enough that it wakes him up. The only way Jack can rise is by reaching the bottom and people who keep putting soft barriers infront of him to stop him reaching his bottom are only serving to delay that fall, sometimes until it is too late.

Being an alcoholic does make sense now that his behaviour is coming to light.
I noted to my mate in his last performance (Leyton Orient?) that he looked like shit.
Old, tired, haggard.
A classic alcoholic appearance on reflection.

Not a great look-not sure it’s how a top athlete should behave-that coupled with his erratic form…
There's a few players whose lifestyle choices are incompatible with being an elite athlete. Grealish is definitely one and most of them are English as well.

It's about time clubs called them out and sacked them, instead of protecting them. It wouldn't happen in any other workplace. They might be shocked into changing their ways then.

This is 100% correct.

Getting over 200k a week will take a while to hit the bottom, a good while at that, your experience will be people who were on a lot less money than that.

He's an idiot whose been in a more than privileged position, and literally pissing it all away.

Good luck to him for the future, as he will need it

On a slightly unrelated point, its strange he's booed at every away ground.
Seems an all round decent bloke

Pickford is another who appears to be a pisshead. There was a story about a group getting Kyle Walker's bit on the side chucked out of a club they were in. Mainly the group was around him, and he was necking shots in a club after Everton played in London.

Can tell, he's another who looks like a dopey bastard, and talks like one to boot, eyes like piss holes in the snow, barely awake, absolute clowns

Nope, Alcoholism doesn't have those sorts of boundaries.
If anything, money makes it worse, Easier to hide, Easier to stay pissed, More motivated enablers.

This is totally false.

All alcoholics are different and need to be handled in very different ways. There's no one way that works for everybody, many people who "hit rock bottom" never climb out and end up killing themselves. Suggesting everybody should be handled like this is factually wrong and morally irresponsible.
