They probably just got their left and right confused and ended up putting the wrong one on. It will fit the other side no problem.
The way the build has happened so far, there’s a good chance the first person to pass the stadium today will send a pic with it fully installed. [emoji23]
I still think given the complexity of the cap and the 4 pillars of the quadpod that they would have practiced attaching it before they did it for real so high up on the air
Just a side point, not really that significant to your argument.
Where you have highlighted in yellow, there is another hotel planned there longer term (no.2 below).

I would think the club will have actively Wanted a hotel attached to the stand, rather than not really knowing where else to put it. I get your views on the merits or issues with that though.
The “solution” has altered its look, the bottom half looks really tatty with the stitch plates holding the windows in. It’s a matter of opinion of course but personally I think the look of apartment floors is ruined by everyone’s junk being visible on the enclosed balconies. Hopefully “The Medlock” will be better built and the windows opaque from outside!I think they did. And it also sometimes screeches when the wind blows. But it's still a stunning building. Those are design problems but they don't alter its look.

I think if the cap was going to be a huge problem one of the workers would have been taking photos and video so they could show the engineer's
I have mentioned that a number of times, that this one has real potential to whistle, both across the sails and through those 20mm ish gaps to the mullions.I think they did. For the size of it, I'm not sure that's possible & I would assume they would use 3d computer programming & a scaled modelThey may well have. In the factory for example. They could have had it built with segments of the 4 tops of piers attached and then removed them before transporting.
Think once on site, that becomes a lot more difficult.
Thanks for info. Do we know what items 3 and 4 represent on the plan.I always welcome seeing and discussing examples. We could find/show countless examples of both.
Which then just shows that it isn't 'always' the case, as if that is a rule of some sort.

On site, and lifting about, yeah I agree. For the size of it, I'm not sure that's possible & I would assume they would use 3d computer programming & a scaled model
Has it actually been confirmed? I thought we were more in "probable" rather than "possible" territory now, did I miss something? It's been rumoured for many years (and I mean many - around 15, I think) that there'd eventually be two hotels on the site, but I didn't know it was now confirmed. Anyway, am glad there's something definite about the developments that are to follow.
I did find and post it some time back, possibly on the collar thread. Would need to take time to look up again. Thanks for info. Do we know what items 3 and 4 represent on the plan.
Didn't Lex keep insisting that one of those was a multi-story carpark or was that a different building?I did find and post it some time back, possibly on the collar thread. Would need to take time to look up again.
They were faitly vague and non-committal terms tbh. Think 4 was something like 'media city' and 3 was 'leisure hub' or something along those lines, from my loose recollection.

But we know from the photos seen previously that they did have a (smaller scale model) over in the wind lab down south. Which from being in a few times I know also does whistling tests, so I would hope/assume they did that as well when there.
Probably but I can't see how the damned thing fits regardless given everything is angled. Are the two front pads physically connected in some way? They look like flat circular pads to me.Surely the 4 legs will have to be at the correct angles before the cap can be fitted. Even if a leg or the legs are slightly out, the cap won't fit into place.
