Nottingham Forest (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

I am getting fed up with Bernardo and Foden. And with Pep. Why are de Bruyne and Gundogan on the bench? They are completely useless to us now. I want to see Pep start thinking about re-building MCFC.

It's time Pep got serious. Play the young players now and find a way to get Marmoush into the side. That's what you are paid to do.
Never thought I say I want some of the finest players to ever play for us to be moved on, but I do. We’ve got the older players out of the club before they hit the rails in the past, getting it wrong currently.

Sooner we accept the situation the better.

Pep, board, players have all done more than we could have dreamed. They got rightly applauded for their superb work.

Now tho, they deserve the criticism.

Honest conversations as to where the team is heading and who are the right people to take us there.

Watching us play is painful.
We’ve lost much quality from the squad due to age, injuries and performance.
Dias, Stones, Ake and Akanji can’t stay fit.
Walker injured and then his performances fell off a cliff.
Fucked off as soon as the going got tough.
One of our captains and leaders apparently.
Rico at this stage not good enough.
He should be coming on late in a game and progressing his development.
He’s been thrown in the deep end and is drowning.
Rodri doesn’t need any explanation.
Kev age has caught up with him.
Foden has been dreadful.
From player of the season to this.
Silva past it unfortunately.
Same with Gundogan.
Kovacic should be the backup to the backup.
Nunes, not sure why we even bought him.
Doku and Savinho work hard but are far too inconsistent and their final ball is dreadful at times.
Jack is usually getting pissed.
We can criticise Haaland but without quality balls into the box or the support and movement of his teammates he’s very easy to mark out of the game.
Pep not entirely blameless but when you see what he’s currently got to work with it’s understandable.
Is it any wonder we’re shit?
Right now all I’m concerned about is winning the 115 and getting top 5 by any means necessary.
Performances don’t come into it.

He wasn’t, but that substitution meant we lost control in midfield. Kovacic and Lewis for Gonzalez and Nunez was daft. I realise they were both on yellows and at risk of another
It was heavily the Kova for Nico piece of the equation that caused that. Lewis for Nunes didn’t impact us much one way or the other

folks wants 5 in a row , spoilt brats
just be fucking greatful we didn’t tank like one hit wonder .

Nothing wrong with wanting 5 in a row, seemed perfectly reasonable til we lost Rodri and got all the other injuries.

In hindsight though we should have had a huge refresh last summer.

With his position, there's only one thing Hudson Odoi could have done. Gvardiol was a statue and Ederson took up the correct position, but done fuck all thereafter. Really poor goal to concede that.
Gvardiol took a look behind him, seen there was support, but still failed to get out. Looks like instinct kicked in and he played that passage of play like a CB.

As for Eddie, less said.

Forest played for 30% possession and smash & grab…and got it!

City toothless within 25 yards of their goal. Played two wingers yet couldn’t deliver a single ball into the danger zone.

Other than the giveaway and snapshot that went wide, did Haaland get a sniff, because I honestly can’t remember one!

Best chances we had were the Kova volley and Nico’s long distance shot…both from outside the box.

Great possession, but fuck all coming from it these days. About sums up the season so far.

Raced home after flying all night to watch it live and the highlight was seeing my brother and his wife in the crowd!!

After a week off that they have been moaning about not having all season.
But as long as we keep seeing photos showing which players won the 6 aside in training, everything is fine.
Pathetic, no excuses after that, January didn’t fix us.We used to be a well oiled machine under Pep, now we look clueless, plodding possession with no explosive attacking play. A week and a half on the training pitch to produce a turgid dogs dinner

Thought we did ok to restrict the 3rd best team in England at the minute to very little chances in the first hour.
Maybe should have been one up but the shots were poor.
Then fuckin Ederson again. Easiest of saves goes right past him. Be gone in the summer him

As I said, he isn’t the problem. Can’t you see beyond your dislike for him.
I don't dislike him and never said he's THE problem, but the fact that he almost always avoids criticism and Pep's refusal to sub him off and try something/someone else drives me mad.

I don't see how anyone could defend his effort out there today. He looked completely uninterested.
