How is caucedo actually working out tho ? And historically forward / creative players cost more
 
To me it seems like these people frequent forums like this, and try to prey on peoples hopes.

Every club has scouted Cherki, he isnt really that unknown.

Id love if we brought him here, his playstyle reminda me of David Silva.

Whilst everyone is banging on about Wirtz, I personally think he's unattainable this summer & we desperately need some creativity in our team for next season.

Our performance against Forest isn't isolated in us struggling to create chances all season. Aside from a declining KDB there really wasn't anyone else on the bench who could be our creative spark.

Rayan Cherki initially broke out in his teenage yrs as a 'wonderkid' but since then hasn't progressed & some would say even regressed. However, I've seen him a play this season for Lyon where he's improved his overall football play & put in some really impressive & mature performances. He broke onto the scene with his Fifa-esque flicks & tricks, but he's now picking out passes & seeing the whole field. I think he's currently leading Ligue 1 in assists & before everyone starts going on about it being a Farmers League. Its the same league which took apart the Scousers mid-week, albeit for a match winning performance from their keeper.

Unfortunately, I've not seen us linked with Cherki & it seems according to the media rumours the red cartel teams are circling around him to take advantage of Lyon's financial situation.

I would really like us to guzump them & take a chance on Cherki as he does fit our young profile target, with a fair amount of football experience for his age. Lastly, his shooting seems miles better than Merlin, but currently not much else & fair way to go to reach El Mago's heights. Hope we put our hat in the ring as we desperately need more creative players for Haaland to justify his long term signing.
