Some Manchester United players are "not good enough" and some are "overpaid", the club's co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe says.

Midfielder Casemiro, striker Rasmus Hojlund, goalkeeper Andre Onana, and wingers Antony and Jadon Sancho - who are on loan at other clubs - were namechecked by the billionaire in an interview with BBC Sport as players his regime had "inherited".

Also confirmed they’re still paying half of Sancho’s wages and owe Dortmund 17millon for him in the summer

Name checking the players is a shite thing to do. Casemiro as well. Regardless of what he's said, the implication is that they've overpaid on transfer fees for them and vastly overpaying on wages also. I'm sure all those who he mentioned won't be happy. I also hate the wank about mentioning the women's team. News for the BBC - they're nowhere near as important as the men's team. Get fucking over it. Not even fucking close.

I like his optimism though - in 3 years they'll win the league, be profitable and will have the best stadium in the world. Crack on lad.

Brazil winger Antony is another on loan, at Spanish club Real Betis, after struggling at Old Trafford following an £81.5m move from Ajax.

Compatriot Casemiro arrived in 2022 in a £70m deal, while Denmark striker Hojlund arrived the following year for £72m.

Cameroon international Onana joined the club in the same summer for £47.2m.

They had Hamilton and Nico Rosberg winning multiple drivers and constructors championships before Scruffy Jim bought in, now the joint most successful F1 driver in history has fucked off to Ferrari as he knows they are a total shambles of an organisation and can’t build a competitive car.
