100%, who's good enough to replace them at the mo? I'd start KDB more but the man clearly can't handle a full game in the PL anymore.

Strength in depth is that poor right now that players in bang average form get picked almost every game.

I'd include Gvardiol in this bracket too. Great player but has zero completion and can afdodd to be complacent. How many clangers does he have to drop until he's benched?
 
We are still in a decent position to get a CL place, but we really need to get 3 points on Saturday. Our recent home form in the League excluding the Dippers game has been pretty good, but Brighton will certainly be no pushovers.

A front 3 of Savinho, Haaland and Marmoush can hopefully fire like they did against Newcastle. Should be a decent game as Brighton won't park the bus.

Maybe look at the lack of defensive cover in front gvardiol is a player who likes to push on do with no cover in front a ball down the channel will alway expose us.Now there's no ake I'd try O'Reilly there and put gvardiol cb with khusanov right back especially in away games.
 
No doubt changes again that we have probably changed to in the past and it’s not worked.
Big issues are right back, advanced midfield and wing

Would like to see a double pivot of the 2 Nico’s with the Young un being fluid to move to LB to encourage Gvardiol to raid forward to give us proper width.
Considered Kushanov at RB but we then have fuck all CB options
100% no Foden, Nunes, Bernardo and a toss up between Doku and Savinho.

With this team and Pep's selections, its a puzzle. Games going forward need Marmoush, both Nico's and Doku and Savinho. Its about getting top 4-5, not a nostalgia "run in".

Looks like another top youth player that will be forced to leave and another player who will shine for another team. There is no excuse for not trying to play Echeverri, Bobb, Riise and O’Reilly.
Do we wait for them to get pissed off and leave? This absolutely sickens me.

Bobb has been out injured all season..O Reilly looks a good player and needs a few games to see how he goes..the other two are players for the future..next season probably
 
Form me we looked the most balanced against Newcastle in recent weeks

The only issue we have is who to play next to Nico

In that game it was Gundogan but it’s a lottery whoever you put - Kovacic and Bernardo haven’t pulled up any trees either

We are also without Stones but Dias is a decent alternative

Might Echeverri make the bench?

I am not expecting him to make it because it's a tough game. Leicester home seems more likely but it's possible. Almost anything is possible and I have noticed that he's been on the winning side in training, or at least when these photos have been published recently (3 out of 3).

Seeing as none of the press ever ask how he's doing in training, these are the things we are reduced too. If he makes it 4 out of 4, I reckon this is meaningful. Half joking.
 
I would like to see O'Reilly starting alongside Nico in a Cup game but unfortunately there are no games left in which we can experiment. O'Reilly is ready imo to play Premier League football.

Last season we were almost brilliant but I feared for our future, now we are struggling but there are a lot of very good young players near the first team. Unfortunately we have to introduce these players into the side when City have passed their peak. I suppose the target of 4 in a row, trumped long term rebuilding.
