CEO launches future plans

Day one - we were going bust by Xmas - most of our players are shit - I had to sack people to get to the end of the season - we are £1bn in debt but I won't name who took that money.

Day two - oh shit I fucked it up letting loads of cats out of the bag so - " hey world believe me when I say we will be in a new ground 5 years from now" - lads do me an A1 mock up will ya? Make it look like a Bedouin tent because in reality we will probably be doing a ground share in Pallet Park by then .............

serious question....

I am down to my last £3k in the bank, it will most likely run out in about 3 months, I have had to cut back on the dog and cat food and no more treats on the weekly shop.

But I would like to build a company that will rival some of the biggest tech companies in the US

Who's in?

: )

So City are paying ~£300m to expand the stadium, add a hotel etc etc.

The only thing we will be doing is possibly adding more seats in corners, hardly going to announce a new stadium in the next decade are we? Not quite sure what other club you think are going to propose a 100,000 stadium?

Anyway, my point is not that we have a shit stadium, but that if they do build what they are proposing, it will obviously be the best stadium in the country (in terms of modernism, facilities etc).

Its all well and good having a laugh about the state of Old Trafford, but thinking thats going to continue for much longer is short sighted in my opinion.

I would enjoy seeing them fall flat on their face as well, and end up with a half built stadium or reverting to improve Old Trafford, but don't see that happening.
Where is the money for a new stadium coming from?
Scruffy Jim has already stated that without sacking shit loads of staff the club would be totally fucked.
They have lost over £300m in the last 3 years and are well over a £1billion in debt.
They are trying to get rid of players because they are crap and overpaid but who the fuck would buy them..
They need to spend a fortune buying new players to make them competitive but they can't really afford them without going further into debt.
Scruffy Jim and the Glazers aren't going to put their hands in their pockets and finance the new stadium as they are all in it for whatever they can leech out of the rags.
If the Government finance it after all the cost cutting they are making they might as well say here's the keys to number 10 to the Conservatives.
Maybe they can ask their 1 billion fans to contribute to it..
Instead of rebuilding in Trafford they should build it on fantasy island.

Some Manchester United players are "not good enough" and some are "overpaid", the club's co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe says.

Midfielder Casemiro, striker Rasmus Hojlund, goalkeeper Andre Onana, and wingers Antony and Jadon Sancho - who are on loan at other clubs - were namechecked by the billionaire in an interview with BBC Sport as players his regime had "inherited".

Also confirmed they’re still paying half of Sancho’s wages and owe Dortmund 17millon for him in the summer

Great times
Some?

Totally agree...why doesnt scruffy jim take the initiative here. The fella on that promotional video said they have 1 billion global fans.

All scruffy jim needs to do is start a go-fund-me page asking for just £2 from each fan, bingo there is the money needed

I did like this on the news story I read about this stadium development

“United, currently £1 billion in debt, are yet to say how they plan to pay for the arena.”

So, losing £400m in three years, not making profit, £1b in debt, and hanging around the low 1/3rd of the league… but yet are going to build this grand stadium and as I should be working I asked chat gpt for a rough cost to build the best stadium ever with 100,000 seats…. Between £2b and £3b!

Now if they do build it, adding at least another £2b to their debt pile.
