Open Letter on Season Tickets and Pricing | Club announce price freeze on "general admission season tickets & PL match tickets" for next season (p163)

I sense it wont be too long before we start doing protest marches to the ground. .

Captain Darling: So you see, Blackadder, Field Marshall Haig is most anxious to eliminate all these German spies.

General Melchett: Filthy hun weasels, fighting their dirty underhand war!

Captain Darling: And fortunately, one of our spies...

General Melchett: Splendid fellows, brave heroes risking life and limb for Blighty!

Scruffy Jim has apparently announced the rags will increase ticket prices next year.
Don't know if that's season tickets, match tickets or both.

Just checking my emails.

WTF!

Ticket information from the club.

Manchester united v Man City!

Unfuckingbelievable.

It’s been mentioned a few times over the years that the club made a decision to market the club as ‘Man City’ rather than ‘Manchester City’ a while ago now.

It’s due to things like search engines and the like.

For example, start typing in the full word ‘Manchester’ into a search engine and it will more than likely give you a bunch of links to United first.

Type in ‘Man’ then a space and ‘C’ and it will direct to City related things.

I’d rather we boycott away games like Bournemouth in the Cup
Boycotting games will never work as it divides opinion and splits fans. Imo other measures such as protest banners / stopping buying food / drink in the ground, mass resignation from city matters - all with organised maximum media attention will be far more effective. Co=ordinated by the various fans groups...standing g together as one! The club would hate the negative publicity

Boycotts do work in my opinion. Liverpool fans did a mass walk out because of ticket prices and their club changed the pricing. It depends on how it’s done.

I agree with all of your other points, especially the one about city matters

mass walk outs etc do walk. Clubs will keep taking the P because fans keep coming back for more.

1000s of United fans protested before the Arsenal match. Then they went into the ground to watch the match.

Whilst over in Italy, the (AC Milan) Ultras, who usually get slagged off by English football fans, stayed silent throughout the match, and left the whole of Curva Sud (South) empty, along with a protest banner, before the end of the game against Genoa

Equivalent to the whole of South stand level one doing the same thing.

Any updates from the other City Matters Reps, or are they staying silent?

The sound of silence.

Maybe Dante can chime in here but I think I read he's meeting the SC rep this week so hopefully she'll have a stance after that meeting.

Goes without saying that if she doesn't pull out then something dodgy is going on (club plant) or she is no longer fit to do that role

The fact thousands have replied to that survey, the clear sentiment on here from SC holders and the former SC rep backing the walkout, it's inconceivable she'd not walk out right....?

been said before. But this is so true.

Only way the clubs will react with fans complaints, treatment of fans/cheaper ticket prices and more is when fans STOP paying the money for the tickets and STOP going in the ground.
The only thing is, that’s exactly what they want us to do so they can change the way they advertise the club, make it like Disneyland or Alton Towers and fill the ground with daytrippers.

The Arsenal Community Shield game confirmed that they have the means to replace the lot of us through their worldwide ticket tout sites. We nearly all boycotted it, the club did not support us in our boycott and filled the City end with complete nobodies who just sat down and watched the game like spectators, not uttering a single song all game.

At the time, we had just won the Champions League. I doubt they would even come close to filling it if that happened again.
