I thought Neville came across very well and professional, whilst showing passion for a cause he is obviously emotional about.

The part that made me laugh was when he mentioned something along the lines of “why can’t the owners who have been milking money from the club. Stuck their hands in their own pocket and pull out a few quid” - erm…. Ok Gary so what’s all the issues about City (who have done everything by the book) and the “oil club” that’s been stuck to our name all about. Everyone knows a wealthy owner can’t just inject cash from their own person wealth into a club to fund lavish expenses FFS, but it’s ok and expected for the Glazers to do this now all of a sudden?
Yeah i agree re neville, he clearly cares. Hes still a **** ;)

The bit about cutting ex players funding and funding it with a charity night..Grim jim “oh i never thought of that”.
Well i guess the ex players never thought of it either and just stood there with there hands out

Some thoughts about Man United's stadium project. It will cost more than they think . It will take longer than 5 years. They will struggle to fill it. The finance costs will prevent them from buying top talent. It could be the end of them financially. Reasons to be cheerful

I'd want all that in writing, then I'd be celebrating for the rest of my time on earth!

So am i right hear ? United could never expand the south stand because of the freight terminal ? What’s stopping them expanding the south stand if the freight terminal gets relocated ? Or am i missing something?
It's the main stand that can't be extended because it would have to be built over the busy passenger line from Mcr to Liverpool (via Warrington Central).

The other 3 stands have been extended already.

What you are missing is the BS.

Looks like they are looking to either build new whilst continuing to use the current one as Spuds did or simply don't want to pay for the groundworks in shifting the ground slightly to accommodate a bigger ground.

It really has no need to impact on the freight terminal but politics have been brought into play and used for their benefit.

It's bent as fuck and a way of diverting billions to their cause.

If the Raggy’s have infiltrated the top levels of Government in this country we have no bloody chance. They already have that complete and utter tosser Lord Coe rooting for them.

as the media are hyping RAGS have interest (??) from sponsors, stadium naming rights etc but none of that money will flow until a stadium is built.

The biggest lie in all of this is the myth that Old Trafford is 110 years old.

The north stand was built in 1997 - Only 2 years before construction started on the Etihad/COMS
The Stretford end and East Stand were completed in the early 2000's
The Quadrants in the corners were completed in 2006

And the Bobby Charlton stand was built in the 1960's

You don't knock your house down because the roof is leaking, you get it fixed.

Clean your gutters out. There's a couple billion saved.

Scruffy Jim really is a conniving rat. On the one hand saying no public money will be used and on the other saying that the project can't start without Governement help. They must be using fairy dust instead of cash in that case.

The cgi and mock ups aren’t intended for their dimwit lemming supporters, it’s for investors and a nudge to the government and the city council to help them.

If you were an investor though would you put your hand in your pocket to pay for something that could end up costing closer to £3 billion, the price of steel is going to be unstable with tariffs being imposed worldwide. The upside though is you would have the rags by the short and curlies as they are like a smack head hooked on forever paying off interest on their loans.

Lets see how the roads and public transport cope with 100,000 people?

Bloody stupid if they get permission to build a stadium of that size.

I am dreading it when our new stand eventually opens.
As a Trafford resident I can tell you. Currently the roads and transport system cannot cope with the 50,000- 75,000 fans that attend so there is no chance with 100k.
When the rags got planning permission to increase the gpc stand it was on the condition they did a Park and Ride from Carrington. It lasted 2 matches and was abandoned with no one in the council giving a shit. The M60 junction at Stretford is a nightmare on match days. The Traffordd Centre (free car parking) exit is the same.
