Remember Edin Dzeko?

Some saying he didn't have a first touch should watch some of those first time finishes. We shouldn't rake up all the past arguments and do them all again. He was a very good player and scored in some very important goals against some very good sides as he did for other teams. I will remember his contributions fondly.

Beautiful kit too.
Truly was. Watching that video tears at your heart strings. Peak Yaya, peak Sergio, peak Nasri, peak Silva, peak Dzeko all tearing forward at pace cutting Spurs to shreds wearing a fantastic, historically resonant kit.

Contrast that with this season’s stuttering, terrified away performances featuring has beens and never gonna bes wearing a variety of rubbish kits.

He was very frustrating at times. Would regularly miss sitters but probably still score a brace in same game. Playing in a team with Aguero, Tevez and Ballotelli and too good not to be first choice somewhere.
I remember the Hull game where David Silva was head 'n shoulders above anyone on the pitch, scored the first with a blinder and then set up Edin so many time until finally he scored the second. That game summed up Edin - he was either unplayable (Spurs game) or wretched, never seemed to hit anywhere in between.

Happy to admit I never rated him. His touch was awful and when he started games he rarely did anything and he was incredibly lazy.

A player who seemingly is getting better as each year passes in the eyes of fans.

You want to talk about a top player who was never appreciated by most then I would argue riyad mahrez is that guy. A truly world class player who some hated after that penalty at Liverpool
When I watch what we have now, young raw wingers, with no end product, I know I was right telling everybody who criticised Mahrez then they misunderstood the importance he played in our success. Oh for a winger as good as he was.

Dzeko more popular now than he was when he played for us.

He was one of the more frustrating players we've had, but just when you were starting to think about how bad he was in a game he'd pop up with a goal or two and put you back in your box.

Edwin was made a hero by Blues for his goals and for the lack of respect part of our fan base showed him. I always remember one of the Bosnian posters saying that part of their love for Edin was because he’d had the same haircut since he was 9. Edin was amongst the best of “typical City”.

Mahrez's first touch was a thing of beauty, dont think ive ever seen a player who could bring the ball under control like him. He was always a goal threat as well.

It’s still not come down.

Watching David Silva brings a tear to my eye. What would he be worth today in his prime, got to be 100 million?

Bosnian Diamond - great player. Carried us up top for the last 5 games in 2013/14 as the only fit striker left and we won the league. The fact that he was jettisoned for that donkey Bony is laughable.

Edwin was a Hugely underrated player in his time with us and his goal record and winners medals bear testament to that.

I remember him having a bit of a tantrum when an interviewer called him a super sub because he said he wanted to be starting games. He then started the next game and was utter dog shit.

Can't deny the importance of some of his goals though.
