Russian invasion of Ukraine

US taking over the power plants would be the best protection for them, says Leavitt.

Surely that's tantamount to an admission that no-one trusts Russia to stick to any deal? If Russia did stick to a deal, there would be no need for 'protection'.
Does anyone with more than four functioning brain cells think for a second that Russia will keep to any deal it makes, unless forced to?

Mobster tactics.

Kind of thing is expect from fascist government.

Will be interesting to see what kind of ruzzian non-energy infrastructure UKR will target now, to be more painful than the ruzzian attacks on UKR civil targets in Odessa and elsewhere.

Both sides back to energy infrastructure attacks in some 28 days...

It doesn’t make a lot of sense to exclude member states from buying from British defence companies. I suspect we will agree to a defence partnership with the EU (why wouldn’t we?) and that should resolve this issue and even open up us both contributing to and benefiting from the fund.

We all need each other on this topic.
You'd hope so but France is drawing its feet with Ukraine EU funding along with Hungary (under Orban) and Slovakia (under Fico) at the moment.Slovakia will allow others to fund but not it. Hungary will cave or will lose its voting rights.
But France - what is going on?
Talking the talk but not Walking the walk as usual I woukd think.
NATO has always had a France problem of sorts.

Day 1222 Review:

Russian Glide bombs not working as they were at the front, due to ECM - so let's level towns behind the front line instead.

Would be very cautious about speculating on that. Wait for actual information IMO.
the backup generator thing seems to be true. but the cause of it who knows. Edit: Sounds like the back up generator was on the same site as the fire.

2nd back up also seems to have not triggered as they are trying to get it up and running.

Most major incidents around (re Heathrow, remember the Buncefield fire?) are caused by cockup, not sabotage. We know nothing whatever about the cause of this yet AFAICT, speculation is pointless.
