Terrible news breaking re Russian missiles hitting Poland and killing 2 people.

We really are at a point of serious escalation.

This could go very wrong very quickly let’s hope it’s something else.

We can't afford to chicken out, but then we also can't afford to strike them. This is a hard call for someone to make.

It’s unlikely NATO will react immediately, it will be seen as an accident. If Moscow quickly apologises and potentially offer full co-operation in an investigation it will blow over in a few hours. On the other hand if Russia comes out and says “have some of that Poland” then we will have to respond.

Chamberlain territory really isn't it. I'd fucking hate to be in that position. Biden and Erdogan definitely have the stones for it though.
