10/10 Player Performance Ratings

I was at Elland Road for that.mid week night game Paulo was invincible,..I'd never seen anything like it
I think we were sitting in the south stand behind the goals, Paulo was just taking goal kicks down on his chest,,down to his feet ...and then running at the Leeds defence with his mazy ,crazy,dribbling style,......All Night.

Nobody could touch him ,he was supreme, dynamite,attacking Leeds ,on his own ,running at them from every angle, it was one of the best centre forward performances I've ever seen.
I've never really liked Leeds,and after my first rather naive visit to Elland rd in 87/88.....I made sure I went back there every season we played them,drunk all around the town ,and on this particular night ,Kevin Keegan s City got me buzzing,...1 nil at Elland Road. Take a bow Paulo Wanchope.
A brilliant away match.And we were loud.

Would love to see the highlights of that game. Sounded amazing!

I always remember Eyal Berkovic in the 6-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday in November 2002 scored two goals and provided assists and completely ran the midfield.

Good shout that.
Sheff wed didn't know what hit them that day! We absolutely smashed them
Eyals contribution gets over looked by the brilliance of Ali Bernarbia on the day.

Anyone who saw Berbatov for spurs at Maine Road, fa cup quarter final ....will agree it was a 10/10 performance.
His class,ball control,vision and the way he ghosted into space was amazing. A very impressive performance
We lost,2 nil think...DB was unplayable that night.

I've being trying to find out the date of the match so I can properly search you tube ,but I can't find it.
Annoying....makes me think ,I've got somat wrong ,again.....very annoying when you turn old ; )

I'd be interested,if you can remember,to know any more details,about Peter Barnes display against Milan.
I only saw very brief highlights on TV,as a kid,but it was Barnes electric wing play that made me choose City as my team,I came from a family with no interest or roots in football,.it was Barnes style of play which caught my eye( thank god it wasn't Eddie gray for Leeds !!!)

And also,genuine interest,what was so good about Brian Flynn that day at Burnley?

Flynn ran the show from start to finish, similar to Hartford against united.
Barnes just ran Milan ragged. The first half was probably the best until we played Hamburg or maybe even Madrid.

It was December 2007 in the League Cup Quarters at The Etihad, Spurs had a player sent off after 20 mins and Berbatov annoyingly was brilliant that night, always sticks in my head

I remember Bobby Mimms having a very good debut against us at Maine Road for Everton, who demanded to be kept informed.

For us, the Paulo Wanchope 2-1 at leeds is an obvious stand out. Also Joe Hart in the 0-0 first game of the season, plus Whitey’s four goals at Villa.

Paul Walsh. Spurs at home. 5-2. Belting game.

All the cameras there for Klinsmann and then Walsh destroyed them, unplayable that day.

And then we swapped him for Gerry Creaney.
