The majority of the population have no real ties to Denmark and are Inuit (though Danish passport holders), but they have no interest in being part of the US at all.

Many of their settlements had Danish/viking names until a decade or so ago, but they now have Inuit names, the vikings left long before it became Danish. The US have one base there, and even it has been renamed (Pituffik), but it still hosts the northern most US ICBM warning site.



I don't know how much people know about Greenland, probably not much, but it's quite interesting if that's your thing. The "Cities" are incredible well spread out, with no road connections, so only really connected by Air Greenland, who basically operate a bus service with fixed and rotary wing daily.

There's only one major hospital, based in the capital (other smaller ones), so serious illness/injury generally requires air ambulance to the capital, and really serious stuff they need to go to Copenhagen, a 5 hour flight away, not sure why they cant go to Iceland (closer), but it might be a visa thing.

Google street view covers most of the settlements, it's quite an interesting look round if interested.

I'm glad they are "fuck trump".

Yes, it's a fair point.

I have repeatedly seen videos and read articles where that statement has been made, on both British and American media sites. I watched one today from an American channel saying the same thing.

I guess I should have checked, but never thought to look on the GOV.UK travel advice website.

Thanks for pointing it out. I'm always prepared to learn and I don't have a problem if I'm wrong about something.

it's just lie after lie after lie with every fucking one of them. If the whatsapp chat doesn't make their opinion about europe clear, and if europe doesn't react accordingly, then what comes later is our own fault

Yep.

You know what? - the security breach fuckup is such big news that Trump's executive order demanding proof of citizenship to vote - is background noise.

A cynic such as myself might believe that the war plan fiasco was planned as a diversion - in order to enact numerous other Presidential acts under cover of security breach outrage.

Trump is nowhere near smart enough to think of this - but some of his staff are.

Even so, I don't buy into the narrative that this security breach was planned - I rather think that it's just another major fuckup from Dear Leader due to the incompetent figures he's managed to push through into top government positions - positions for which they are entirely unqualified.

I just hope that this bastard is brought to task whilst he's still sufficiently compos menti to understand what's going on.
I'm sick of offenders and sheisters who cause life-changing disasters or trouble for others only being 'exposed' and declared for what they are, after they're dead.
I used to think that I was being irrational for hating somebody I shall never meet - and hating him so much - but now I realise that it would be irrational not to...
