City Announces Global Partnership with Viagogo

Do you think they don’t know? Think our owner and chairman are a bit too switched on to be unaware , besides this really isn’t about ticket pricing it’s about who the club are partnering with, to sell hospitality and possibly resale tickets . By all means be angry about it if that’s how you feel, but don’t pretend you can put the blame on Soriano and not those above him, he isn’t a human shield.
It's not so much aboot partners as prices and the alienation of current and future City fans.

Get that right and the partnerships will be in the background !!

I honestly don't know if it's just me - but I can feel football being taken away from me, slowly surely.

It's like a great sanitisation is occuring.

Our club not replacing season ticket holders and pricing out local families who maybe want a day out. Its near impossible to get a song going at the front of 115 with all the half n halfs around. "How I do I learn the songs" one asked me.

Our rivals outside the city, building a new stadium SIMPLY for an extra 25000 tourists - pricing out pensioners, pricing out kids, not renewing season cards, forcing cup schemes on those who are season cards.

Newcastle having a 'dry' celebration, ticketed.

Football is becoming the 'Oasis reunion' right before our very eyes.

SLY won't care long term, they will just use the Covid sound affects to pretend there is atmosphere.

These BIG announcements are rarely actual good news for the fans, most of them are promotional backslapping bumf bigging up the business.

I haven't seen one fan remark "Hey great we've got Viagogo on board".

We are a business now and have been for a long time,a very successful business at that, sheikh didn't buy the club for the benefit of us fans it's what comes with success, I am against it as much as the next man, but it's not going to change I gave my season ticket up 3 years ago now, being sat next to opposing fans in the champions league games was the beginning of the end for me personally, then var and not being able to cheer a goal anymore, I will always be a blue sadly not attending any games anymore,we are not appreciated and our voice means nothing,so vote with your feet, the price of success.CTID.

I'm a so called legacy fan, been attending since 72.
Probably sack away games off next season purely down to cost, will keep S/T.
I don’t think this is about filling the stadium and creating a great atmosphere, it's all about revenues and they will increase wether it's full or not.
I run a small business and understand the importance of revenue and when an opportunity arises to increase it I'd be mad not to.
Yes it's nowhere near as good as it used to be on match days but it's just the way of the world.
The demographic round me SS1 changes game to game.
It's a business not a sport ROI is crucial to beable to survive.

Do you treat your customers like shit?
Do you talk to your customers?
Do you listen to your customers?
Are you bothered about your customers?
If the answer to all of those questions is a yes, you are a good business owner.

I'm out of all 3 as well.

If 1000's of fans did it, it would send a powerful financial fan led message and protest to the Khaldoon and the Directors.

Same, won't be bothering with any of the cups next season.

Wouldn't be surprised if they start tagging them on to the season ticket down the line when they realise how much they've fucked up.

They will, but ultimately he runs the opperations for them and was always cash over fans even at barca.
They knew exactly who they wer employing and why, he’d had a track record and written a book on it. He was employed because of the direction they wanted to grow the club, and the group. If he went doubt anything substantial would change.

Probably right...
Anyway the only way we football fans in this country can claim back certain things ie ticket prices etc is to do it together, ie all fans walk out on 65 minutes on the weekend games.

The fact is that locals and season ticket holders will not be filling the 400 rooms in the new Radisson 'medlock' hotel.
It's the day trippers and half and half crowd that make that a viable business.

They won't all be tourist and what is a tourist? A season ticket holder from Norwich? 400 rooms is nothing when there are 61.000 in the stadium.

The hotel isn’t being built for football fans. No hotel is built for 20/25 nights a week. That is not a viable business plan. There will be an expectation there is enough capacity in Manchester to fill it the other 340 days of the year..

I would imagine the hotel might attract groups of away fans sharing a room. It won’t be long before the hotel needs extra security.

after this announcement we are deluding ourselves if we think season card prices won’t increase, city now officially the biggest ticket touts in the land and all the world…
