There's not much wrong with the story but the online comments are not being moderated. There are numerous defamatory comments about City stating as fact that we have committed fraud. The BBC are responsible for whatever they publish (including the comments). The staff there seem to have no knowledge of media law. It is amateurish like so much of the website content. They are not being held accountable for their actions. One issue is that Ofcom has been overwhelmed by complaints about the BBC. They are not even replying to some of the complaints because the backlog is so huge. The problems are much wider than just stories about City. The organisation has become too politicised.

So has its user base, to be fair.

accidently on purpose yet again
"David Villa...... oops, sorry David Silva", this shit's been going on for years.

They're like a bunch of pre-pubescent adolescents thinking they're funny.
In a truly professional setting these pricks would be shown the door in a micro-second, but it's football and almost everybody involved in it has a child's mind.

Simon Stone again. Why do we continue to let this organisation and him into the ground still.

Headline:
The Premier League has announced it will have two transfer windows this summer to allow Manchester City and Chelsea to sign players before the Club World Cup.

And of course he opens up comments which are filled with the usual allowed bile by those who only read the headline and don't realise its the same for all PL teams.
Much much further down the article:
In order to ensure Manchester City and Chelsea did not have an advantage over the other 18 top-flight clubs, the Premier League has adopted the same window.

So it's a FIFA rule and the PL has made the transfer windows the same for every club but they know what they are doing with the headline. That organisation should have been banned a long time ago. Even worse we still let Stone in and ask questions

Looking across the media this morning, I, as a blue, feel hugely comforted as to how little they actually know or understand about anything. It is amazing how many of the schills are commenting or reporting that the PL have changed the transfer window rules to help City and Chelsea. Whereas FIFA had already changed the rules for clubs competing in the Club World Cup, and the PL has followed them specifically to ensure City and Chelsea don’t have any advantage. It simply demonstrates that the media is so driven by bias, racism, pursuit of clicks, etc. that they can’t understand even the most basic things. And we sometimes worry when these retards report the latest City to be relegated nonsense.

My belief, or lack thereof, in most media is driven by the reports I read about things about which I know the details. These are usually aviation stories where I have solid first- or second-hand knowledge, yet the stories have so many mistakes or misinterpretations of details.

In addition, I was interviewed for a union piece by a world famous American newspaper and watched my words get chopped up, reformatted and “reinterpreted” for the story the writer wanted to write. I had actually previously read many things by the reporter, and even the union gave the green light (they were the ones that asked me to speak to her), but it came out as snippets of things, many of which she’d prompted me to say or agree with.

I would advise no-one without any media training to ever talk to the press, and I have much more respect for people who appear so guarded when they’re interviewed. The agenda/story they’re after is the only thing they care about. Hanging it around the neck of an “expert” or someone known in the industry is like gold dust to them!

Football writers are at the very base of that totem pole!

So they're running a story (again) that even we knew about, @jrb posted it back on 29/06/2023 and there may be earlier postings than that? They really are beyond pathetic.

Speaking of pathetic journalism, both SSN online and City's website have the goals from last nights defeat to Chelsea women as being scored at 14, 38 & 43 minutes.

Yet Sam Blitz(really?) stated twice (once was the sub-heading so perhaps not him) that they were all scored in a 15 minute blitz(arf). Do I take it from that, that he couldn't be arsed actually watching the game he's reporting on?

You'd think that our senior broadcaster would be able to take proper care, especially as there's a charter somewhere I believe - about truth and impartiality. As far as the coverage of City goes, the levels of distortion and bias are Trumpian.

Those days are long gone. I think the BBC has just become too large. It started when the UK had a global empire and has grown in size as the empire has shrunk. It is out of touch with most of the public.

Fucking bbc football, tells all of our results against the sides remaining in the fa cup, including the 1 0 defeat at Forest, yet amazingly fails to mention the 3 0 home win; doesn’t suit their narrative I suppose. Bent child abusing cunts

I saw that they include both games v Brighton cos it was the game earlier in the season we lost…… before we beat Forest.
