Open Letter on Season Tickets and Pricing | Club announce price freeze on "general admission season tickets & PL match tickets" for next season (p163)

It's £61 in the same block, 3 seats apart (where the segregation is in 314) ridiculous pricing

Not that I ever do but I would get £23 back off the club if I stuck my ticket on the exchange and they'd sell it (or try too anyway) for £61

Sorry, needs both my posts to provide context. Was talking about my own ticket in 117, exchange price is £41 so club is charging £61 for mine, £20 more
Let's not confuse the two issues. You get back, pro-rata, what you've paid for your season ticket. The club then sell the seat at the full price, which we shouldn't have an issue with. There's nothing unfair about it per se.

What we should have an issue with is why the club have set a price of £61 to watch a midweek game against relegation fodder from the cheapest general admission seats, when you could go to Anfield and watch a Super Sunday game against another top six club (or united) and pay no more than £61 in the best general admission seats.

It’s suddenly hit them that the JCL brigade and tourists have no interest in watching a team that’s struggling and can’t win the league. The begging emails will be appearing soon , season ticket holders can buy ten extra tickets and all that shite . Soriano has suddenly remembered our core support exists .
The club certainly won't want another poor season on the pitch 25/26 that's for sure

Yep, definitely two seperate issues. My point was more about the reselling

If I sold my ticket to someone for £61 I'd rightly be called out on it and labelled a tout, why is the club any different?

I know it's their ticket and they CAN sell it for whatever they want to, but considering the £41 pro-rata is already baked into their accounting assuming I attend, why do they NEED to charge £20 more??

They could introduce something where the match by match tickets to buy in advance are £61 but you can gamble on the availability of a first come first served type deal where SC on the exchange are at the pro-rata rate. Bigger games they'll be less of them available but for less attractive, it'll give the less well off a chance

I do wonder how many of the £61 tickets the club have sold for Leicester on a Wednesday night and who might have bought them.

If I didn't have a season ticket, there is no way I'd be paying that from city, especially when there will be lots available on here and the Facebook sites for less than half of that.
And if I did, I'd be returning it for a refund and buying one of the £30 tickets that Leicester have returned.

Pretty obvious to me it'll be people who already know £61 is the cost price but £161 is what some mug or tourist will pay

I’ve just bought a junior ticket for the next three home games, as they all suddenly seem to be on sale again. All in the sane block in North Stand level 1.

Leicester- £18
Palace - £28
Villa -£38

The prices just seem to be so random these days. Charging over 50% more for Villa than Leicester, seems bizarre. Both midweek. Neither what you’d call particularly attractive opposition. We don’t even know when Villa is going to be yet do we?

Maybe they’re worried it will get shifted to the end of the season and it might be a fifth place shoot out, that they don’t want to undersell?

£38 for a junior ticket is scandalous.

£38 for a kid is outrageous.

Just seen Skysports News and they were talking about ticket/season ticket prices. How Premier League clubs' owners are trying to make it more akin to American sports with their high individual match/game prices and their disdain of season tickets. Miguel Delaney specifically mentions us and our discontent and says it's something all fans and the press should both be fighting against.

Nail them to the fucking wall mate. Explain to them in real terms, citing replies all over social media and on here, at how the anger is growing in the fanbase.
They dont understand that they're gambling with the reputation of the club because once we do start protesting then every two bit journalist will have a quote from long term season ticket holders and fans about hoe these people in Abu Dhabi have bought and stolen our club. Make them understand what happens when the locals turn on the club in terms of reputational damage because they dont seem to get it.

The club will love that in my opinion. Unrest with long term season ticket holders means the prospect of them not renewing which enables them to push out more hospitality and/or more match day tickets being made available through their reseller partners.

Our reputation within the media is poor anyway because everyone thinks we're cheating bastards. The club don't give a fuck about local support because they know globally, we're growing on a huge scale

Seeing Leeds United have increased a large number of STs by 14% - they don't even know what league they'll be in yet!

Sad part for me is all clubs and fans are experiencing the same and English football fans are too fickle to stick together and do something about it - they'd all rather just laugh at each other whilst getting shafted themselves.

The club is in for a rude awakening if they think they can isolate us from our club and they will see, if they continue with their disgust for local fans.
