The Funny thing is, City could win a double this year (FA Cup and World Club Cup) and both the Club and fans would agree that its been a very disappointing season!

IIRC…we drove back from Vienna in 1970 after winning the ECWC and just made the trophy parade at the town hall.

It’s not nothing. It only becomes nothing when you start thinking you are above everyone else, though I take your point.

Clubs like ours, Everton etc - you would have been loving it when we started winning stuff, taking the shine off the shite down the road. That was me last weekend, watching your mob do that at the expense of Liverpool.

As you rightly state, winning ANY silverware is a big thing for any club, but winning it after such a long time, with such a strong fan base, is something we should all enjoy.

I hope some of us have not been so spoiled by the last decade to have forgotten what 2011 felt like. Hell, even 1999 felt like ecstasy when it happened!

Newcastle fans deserved a nice parade over a decent piece of silverware…even if they did “only” beat the Champions-elect and make the entire country happy!!!
