Newcastle United 2024/25

As a Toon fan in all honesty some really measured comments on here as I'd expect from City Fans. For those taking a fuss, can you not let people enjoy themselves. Like your fan base we are a passionate. Not a time for anger surely. We haven't had much success have we. I suspect those mentioning if we have more success we'll put a lot of of noses are right. To you guys its nothing but to us the Carabao is massive.
I am delighted for you. As a fully fledged FOC I sulked for days after Wolves beat us in the Lge Cup in 74 and basked in the glory of our win in 76 (sorry to Metin it)

Just enjoy it, milk the moment and you deserve it for the footy you’ve played this year.

By the by I worked and lived just outside Nottingham for a couple of years. I went into the small village I was billeted in Monday to Friday, Newcastle were on the telly and the village was a full sea of black and white. Miners who came to work from Newcastle years before I was told. Fantastic night with them.

It isn't "Nothing" it's silverware mate, bloody well make a fuss about it.

Who Hell He?
A bitter and twisted wanker who goes by the name of the truregeodie, made a fortune on twitter saying how our owners should never be anywhere near th EPL and how bad for football they are. Soon changed his tune. Bitter wanker.

Some people have such funny versions of what I'll loosely label as "morals".

Was 11 when we won the league cup in 76 so only vague memories , started going regular in my teens and never thought I'd see us win anything again , cried like a baby when we won the fa cup , enjoy every moment mate , just be prepared for the hatred when it becomes a regular thing

I have always enjoyed League Cup Finals as much (if not more then the FA Cup) You always get more tickets, more hard core fans, and less corporates. Those who deride the trophy have never experienced the sheer joy of winning a trophy at Wembley. My first League Cup win was in 1970 (West Brom). Best wishes to all Geordies.

Hi Jamie
Sorry couldn't resist after first sentence

More tickets and also much cheaper tickets.
And I was also at the 1970 final, I went down on the coach from Middleton with some school pals.
And we walked from Alkrington to Fountain Street, Middleton in thick snow.

I loved winning the league cup in the late 90s after a turgid decade. Also in 2008. A trophy is a trophy after all. Acting arrogant and dismissive over other clubs triumphs is what I expect from United fans in the 90s/2000s and Liverpool fans in general. Hopefully the Toon can push on from here as they're going in the right direction.

Incredible day yesterday - had become so used to the idea that I'd be dead and gone without ever seeing us win anything I'm still not sure it's properly sunk in but no mater what happens not sure anything will top this.

As I said earlier in the thread, it took me a while to really appreciate the fact that we’d won a trophy in 2011, so I’m not surprised you’re feeling that way.
