I live in Newcastle now and they are all going mad up here today with the one win and just to think what we have seen and won in the last decade it really is hard to believe isn’t it.

With us what we have seen really is beyond belief really..to be honest if that was it..if that's all I will see I will die happy..I said to my old man in the ground after Sergio scored that goal against qpr.
That will do me ..that will more than do me forever.
I never dreamt as a kid we would win anything..I went to Wembley not long before the Gillingham game to watch England.
Not Cos I gave a shit about England I just wanted to go to Wembley.
I went to the playoff final and honestly thought that would be the only time I would go to Wembley to watch city.
Fuck me I can't remember how many times I've been since the semi against the rags

I see you are in Buxton.I was on the 12.33 to Piccadilly every other weekend from 1972 onwards till I left in 81.Good times too.We had a good side mid 70’s my first Wembley was 76 and I’d got used to the fact we would never win anything feeding off days like Charlton/bradford/gillingham and they were more than enough to keep us happy.
All change and hey presto we are the worlds best team and a wembley visit is a given each and every year and I admit to taking it for granted and I know it was wrong.
I don’t we will witness another dozen years like it again if I’m honest.

I love your reason for going to Wembley, cos its a penance watching England. I went with my RL team in 71 and to a CS game mid 80s where Dips were playing- my bf at time was a Dip - sensibly I didn't marry him.

Every time we win a trophy and particularly the PL I NEVER take it for granted and always think well if it is the last time in my lifetime I will pass happily.

one of my sons mates is a mid 30s Newcastle supporter. I was absolutely made up for him the other week. Years ago I asked him why Newcastle and not the usual red shirt shytee either end of East Lancs Rd. Said he was a Toon because his grandad was a Geordie and as his mum was a single parent thru were his team. Total respect to him, cos a youngster he suffered like I had done in the previous decades. Once a team is in your dna that's it. I will ignore Sly fawning over them - I know we never get that respect, but at least a decent team other than red shirted shytte are getting some coverage.

Well done Newcastle, the domestic quad was not for everyone. Ha ha.

I have a few mates who are proper rags and a couple who are dippers.
All go home and away Europe etc.
When I was a kid and they used to talk about winning the league.
Or the European cup I couldn't imagine I'd see city do it one day.
My rag mates when they won the treble said that's it.
There's nothing to achieve after this.
I thought what the fuck are you on about.
Surely there always has to be something better.
But no..after we won the treble.
And then 4 in a row.
I know now that's it.
That's the Pinnacle.
But I do point out to the rags .
They won the treble.
We matched it..but we went one better.
4 in a row they'll never do that.
Mind you they'll never even win the league again.

Here we are complaining about that and we had Kun Aguero in his prime and he never crossed 26 goals a season with KDB.

Jesus was much worse obviously.

Even Phil and Bernardo at false 9 were nowhere as good.

Give the viking his due.. he scores more than others have.. we might have nostalgia but others were there and they didn't do much better.

I don’t complain about our Viking. I love the man. But it’s true about his chances;)

Did Aguero ever play a full season though ? + when we had the false 9 system everybody scored

I seem to recall it was Rooney and (possibly Phil Bardsley) fucking about play boxing in Rooney's kitchen, and Bardsley landed one on him, and knocked the scouse bastard to the floor.

That might be where that celebration is from.
