I think a large part of our problems, if not the entire issue, is the combination and accumulation of injuries, especially in defensive positions.Would that be such a terrible thing to consider? Our current way of playing clearly hasn't worked this season. Other teams have wised up to us now. Our build up play is achingly slow, and we're easy to play through in the centre of the pitch. Pep needs to adapt.

Had we not lost the majority of the defensive unit for large parts of the season, I’d bet we’d be still fighting on all fronts.

If Ederson is fit, he should playHe's missed games recently and as far as i'm aware it was never really explained, so perhaps it's a more persistent, reoccuring injury that he can manage but the rest will help him fully recover. Ortega is likely to play against bournemouth as the cup keeper so he could have until April without a game after tomorrow with a withdrawal from international duty.
