I seem to recall it was Rooney and (possibly Phil Bardsley) fucking about play boxing in Rooney's kitchen, and Bardsley landed one on him, and knocked the scouse bastard to the floor.

That might be where that celebration is from.

Wow he's so fucking close to cracking the back of his skull off that chair. What a silly way to go that would be.

Hope to god that’s not a reoccurring issue from the same ankle.

Can forgive his finishing. Not wholly convinced he’s the best penalty taker (haven’t been since he admitted to being nervous before a dodgy penalty in 22/23) but he keeps going which is a skill in itself.

Missed too many chances in the first half, finally scored but came off, just hope this isn't serious and he also needs to improve his penalty taking, he's been poor at them this season.

He has probably played TOO much football imo, could use a rest.

Marmoush can deputize as a ST, he was good.

Once again, we're talking about a sub-par Erling Haaland performance, in which he... still scored.

That's why this guy is the best in the business. He doesn't hide, he finds a way to get on the scoresheet even if he missed his last 5 gilt-edged chances. He gets into scoring positions more frequently than anybody else.

That goal has got him to 30+ goals in each of his first three seasons, and 120 in total. 25 more than Aguero's best three-season tally (the previous club record over three seasons).

I was cursing him (not for the first time this season) during most of that 1st half, but the run he made for the equaliser and the timing of it was absolutely World Class.

I’d argue he’s out for the rest of the season you know. Why rush him back? Let him have a bit of a rest and make sure it’s fully healed.

Let Marmoush come in and thrive up there and maybe let Haaland aim for an FA Cup Final return if we get there.

It does bring into question how the outfield perimeters should be controlled. Some smaller grounds are very precarious, with little space between the grass playing area and hazardous surrounds. The FA should look into this, some ground have several metres beyond the pitch boundaries and soft landings, others have concrete barriers a yard or so away.
