A nice cameo again, problem is he probably won't get a start off the back of it. Like other good cup performances. I do wish he would shoot more though, he had at least two really good opportunities to shoot. He has plenty left to offer for me, I just hope it isn't too late for him.

Start the man on Wednesday. I feel we will get better quality end product in the final third than most of the rest of the squad. No playing staff this past six months has done enough to hold down a place. So rotate the lad in and give him a chance at a Derby place. How could it hurt.

Decent cameo yesterday, but it's all a bit too late now for him to stay next season.

With Wirtz looking the main target in the summer and with the addition of Marmoush, we ain't keeping Jack around to be a bit part player whilst being on £300k a week.

It's the same with Bernardo. He will likely stay next season as he only has a year left but he is another £300k a week footballer who will be a bit part next season.

No chance we keep both and I think it will be Bernardo who stays.

If we had any coach other than Pep, Jack would be a regular starter and no chance of getting rid.

He's pissed Pep off somewhere along the line, and as usual, Mr Arrogant won't stand for it.

I think he has pissed Pep off for being too "pissed" himself.

I think him breaking down so often when called on has pushed him to the back of peps plans. A good run out yesterday will help but I think he needs a few more without any injury reoccurrence before Pep trusts him again.

But I thought Jack did a great job yesterday. Hope we see more of him

His cameo today is why he divides opinion , he allows us to control games but doesn’t add stats in terms of goals and asists

When Haaland is scoring 52 goals in a season , this doesn’t really matter , when he’s not then people put the spotlight on the wingers to contribute

I’m Foden’s biggest fan but Jack offered twice as much when he came on
He did but Phil has 10 goals this season.Jack has one and refusing to take a shot like he did yesterday when it was the better option might explain a lot.

Best player on the pitch today.

Needs to do it a lot more often now.

I’d keep.
I’d love him to prove himself in the remaining games. Thought he was definitely gone in the summer before Sunday, but maybe there’s a chance he could turn it round. Really hope so.

If he's pissed Pep off because of likely off-field antics, then I don't blame our manager for benching him. It would be less forgivable if the player himself had been shining the last two seasons; but he's been mediocre at best.

I wish Jack well, but I think he's done here.

'Mediocre'... Compared to the drop-off in performances of Phil Foden and KDB, he's had a better season than them just sitting on the bench.

'Off-field antics'...As I've said before; don't believe everything you read in the media.

There's a lot of shit spouted by City fans simply due to Mr Arrogant not playing Jack to his strengths.

Imagine calling Pep 'Mr Arrogant' for not starting a player who didn't score for over a year and is constantly injured.

There's a weird cult around Grealish. Not many players can toss off 2 seasons whilst being one of the club's top 3 earners and record signing, and still get the amount of weird fan fiction that you see in this thread. Weirder still when some of the same people are ready to sell Phil Foden but think Grealish's unprofessionalism is somehow Pep's fault. All round weird behaviour. Thankfully that road show will be off to Spurs this summer.

Grealish is a superb talent but a magnificent 6 months out of 4 seasons is a poor return on a 100m transfer fee and 300k week wages.

Sunday probably showed why Grealish will leave, came on the pitch, showed superb technique but again could and should have had 2 goals, he simply does not have the belief or confidence to put his foot through a ball and shoot on goal.

He clearly has self confidence issues , that was obvious the minute he walked through the door, he was overwhelmed by the club, elite players don't have these feelings, they revel in the pressure and adulation that comes with the demands of title winning clubs.

Shirt was too heavy, spotlight was too big, standards too high.

Totally agree and as said that was obvious from day 1, I think it was Lescott that interviewed him in the dressing room, Grealish was totally overwhelmed and was far from the image of a cocky, arrogant guy he was portrayed as.

I'm inclined to agree with that to a large extent. However, sticking him out on the touchline every game and not 'playing to his strengths' (even in the 'easier' games) was never going to boost his confidence.

Given the shambles we've seen over this season, I would have expected to see Jack getting a decent run if games in central midfield. That's what pisses me off about the situation. Pep seemed to lack any genuine confidence in him from day one.

As I see it, Jack is clearly not a Pep Guardiola type of player and was most likely a Txiki signing who Pep had to work with.

And yet when you try and discuss Foden, everyone hides behind his 'off the field' issues as if its some form of free pass

I'm with you, if it was or the other at the moment, I'd want Jack out there
