General Videogame Thread

Yeah you don't level up as you would in say fallout or an rpg, you find things out in the world and use the points it gives you to buy perks, if pc or Xbox I would sub to the game pass for a tenner play it through then cancel it
Le PlayStation pour moi. Don't have PS Plus anymore (Not since I binned Fallout 76) If it gives any sort of post-nuclear atmosphere i'll check it out.
Might wait for a used copy to go on sale. Cheers for the info anyway!

The skill tree is basic but functional.

You can complete the game in around 20 hours doing the main and side quests so the skill tree doesn't need to be huge.

The replay ability of the game is that there are 6 completely different endings depending on the choices you make, which faction you side with ect
So it's not a long game, then, or can you take you time, soak up the atmosphere and environment.
Fallout has long been my favourite IP gaming series and 76 did not scratch that itch.

It's nowhere near the size of a Fallout game it's 5 separate zones, its helping to fill the gap before we get a new Elder Scrolls

I have no faith that the new Elder Scrolls game will be good.

What we all really want is Skyrim but set somewhere else with better graphics and fighting mechanics. What we will end up with is Starfield with dragons.

Hell I'd be happy with a game that combined the entire Elder Scrolls universe i.e. Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim where you can travel between them.

I really cant be arsed with online, didnt like ESO or Fallout 76. Just want a good solid offline game, is that too much to ask ?

Switch 2 looks good. They're partially dabbling in the PC route with the mouse controls and some of the linked games, which is interesting.

The camera and online features are a nice addition for those who like party games and chatting with others online.

As a wrestling fan it's good 2k are on board and hopefully a good possibility for a decent wrestling game, something the original Switch has lacked.

No price or pre-order details has frustrated many.

Having no new Mario or Smash Bros game at launch is a big miss though, I feel. Personally, that's the difference between getting one at launch and waiting until one/both come out at a later date (when the console will be cheaper). Yes we're getting a new Mario Kart which is never a bad thing, but a follow up to Odyssey would sell the console by itself.

I thought ESO was really good for what it is but its an MMO not a single player RPG so it doesn't really scratch the Skyrim itch, had some fun with it during lockdown but don't have the time for an mmo usually and slowly got bored with the grindy aspects.

I think it will be great but then again I absolutely loved Starfield, I get people arguments about same old but I like same old when it comes to that type of game

Eso was fantastic but lacked an endgame same as Lord of the rings online, it's why Warcraft or FF will always come out on top

Looks like switch 2 will be around 400
£395.99 or £429.99 with MarioKart World.

Pre ordering is mental.

You MUST have an active Nintendo online + expansion for at least 2 years. Got that.

You MUST of opted in to Nintendos data sharing scheme. Done that.

You MUST have played a certain amount of hours on the switch but Nintendo haven't confirmed the amount.

If you meet that criteria Nintendo will email asking if you want to pre order

They can fuck off with that shit. I'll play the long game.

Not even teasing a new 3D Mario was sacrilege.

Are Nintendo trying to cut retail partners out as much as possible atleast for the launch?

Looking at the physical pricing I think GAME doesn't have long left before if folds. They're hidden away inside Sports Direct shops anyway but for how long...
