PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Headline of an article on MSN

"Man City to be hit with EIGHT seasons of punishment"

Then buried in the article were the words "if guilty".

Yesterday it was an article attributed to Paul Scholes.

Why is it taking SO LONG to release the findings?
Buried in the bottom part of the MSN site was an article attributing the delay to the lawyers - coining in their fees. Makes you wonder.

Is non cooperation not answering the phone, or emals, or not giving them stuff they ask for?
it's a bit like when you drunkenly or e'd up sort of got off with someone one night,
and they gave you their number but they regretted it the next day because you'd already sent loads & loads of messages,
so they gave you the silent treatment,
but you kept on sending messages to them, not taking the hint.

General consensus is no. We could be due damages if we proved the PL were acting in bad faith, but almost impossible to win

Not to mention we would effectively be suing ourselves as an equal member of the PL

But it could be worth a lengthy litigious process where we over inflate the accusations before leaking the stories.

OK, I’ll hold my hands up and say “guilty as charged M’Lud.”
Alice has declared us guilty……

II her own words she says she "Tried to simplify it", when you get the genius that is Alice dumbing things down for her audience you know you're pretty much fucked :)

A long explanation for just one word ‘ghosting’

My gut feeling now is that we'll find out the decision and sanction (hopefully only on the less serious charges) at the same time in the summer.

Maybe it suits the club for an end of season announcement, due diligence on both sides in dotting the i’s and crossing the T’s suits both parties ? Will an announcement tomorrow improve us on the pitch ? Or maybe have a negative effect on the team, and more importantly Pep on a day to day of fending off constant questions about the “result”. The club will do what’s best for us , and I don’t see any real benefit in a side show of gigantic proportions being focused on our manager every single day tbh.
Us as fans see it completely different, for obvious reasons - we want blood , and plenty of it , Khaldoon is a very different kettle of fish however - he will see a result as a result , no matter how and when it finally gets announced.
Pep and the team first for me , the rest will be delicious when it all unfolds.
How does that affect our transfer dealings over the summer, especially if agents are still asking for assurances & the word club tournament in America. Obviously what the club will know, will be different to what they can say in public, but if going off @BillyShears comments about City not had the verdict yet it will be extremely tight

There is an out for the PL in that if we are found guilty of non cooperation the PL can claim that the information persented by City at the hearing if known earlier by the PL would have stopped the whole process. Doesn't really matter if this is true or not because it can be spun and the media would still lap it up.

The PL would still be seen as the good guys for charging City and we would still be seen as the bad guys for causing all the problems for not presenting the necessary information. Personally I would want City to even contest any non cooperation but if I was the PL this is the stance I would take if (and I'm sure when) we are found innocent of all the major charges

At 9.01 am tomorrow my guess will also be wrong.

It was the median of the guesses of people that might have known how long these things take.

Only when we have lost all interest will it arrive out of nowhere. Personally I realised about a week ago that I don’t care half as much as I used to or should. It was a nice moment akin to realising that I don’t need or miss social media.

I doubt the ruling would describe us as innocent, and even if it did the slurs we have faced for years will have stuck in the minds of fans with a bias and fans who casually follow the medias coverage of us.

If our board thought us to be completely innocent of the charges they should have gone for the medias throat years ago instead of being "nice" about it.

IMHO :)
