We used to play football and cricket on a field near Ashton old Road in Openshaw, near a row of houses and ball would go in the end house regularly. The old lady that lived there was always taking our ball off us. Anyway we'd be banging on her door to get it back so in the end she made a deal with us if she gave us a better 'casey' ball would we fuck off on another field well away from her house. Deal done. Proper diplomacy in action.

This use of the word 'Form' for a bench interests me.
In Limerick slang we have the word 'furrum'.
A furrum is a small bench or table (usually homemade).
Flags would also be heard all over Ireland. (See Heaney's much-loved poem 'Come West Along the Flaggy Shore').
