Yes. CFG you said MCWFC depends on it's own resources. I see you so concede the facilities we're paid for by CFG, which if we are honest, focuses much more on the men’s team. Without their success, the money would not be as free flowing I'd imagine.

As for the "necessary evil" disagreement, is not wonderful living in a free country where we can have differing opinions?
You've missed the point about the team though.

CFG invested in the womens facilities years ago, and for a while it gave us an advantage, other clubs didn't, some have caught up now.

If we've neglected one area it was the coach (as many have laboured over for 2 years), in that time we've brought in some of the best players available, currently we're missing some of them through injury, and it matters a lot, yet we're still generally holding our own on the pitch, against the best WSL side ever, with an interim coach, who only has a handful of games left it appears.

A grudging well done to arsenal for turning it around tonight too.

We maybe don't disagree too much. I agree, we have some very good players and the club has put money into the team.

Perhaps, I haven't explained my opinion well enough. I believe the club should have not hired Taylor to begin with or have let him go sooner. The very least, they should not have extended his contract. The women's team is "big" enough and had/has good enough players and facilities, I believe a better manager could have been been found for the women. Instead, a arguably mediocre player, and male youth team manager was given the job and that was "good enough."

We may disagree but probably not by much. However, I do think Taylor was given and kept the job because it was "only" the women's team. Had he ever been lucky enough to manage the men's team he would have been removed much more quickly.

Well she starred tonight. Doesn’t show Taylor in a good light.
She's got a new motivation, no idea if it was her or Taylor, but she was dropped because she was playing shit, and she got chances, and didn't take them.

Good luck to her in her new venture, and then her new venture come the summer, nothing against her just judged her on the football she was playing, personally I thought Taylor took too long to leave her out on her form at the time.

We've parted ways, best for all I think.

Don't think we disagree on much at all really, I just don't like the use of of the word resources, MCWFC are well placed, with both facilities and now a better squad, just injuries have taken a toll this season.

Exactly right about Chloe Kelly - she had a huge chance to be the difference for us when Bunny got injured last season. We had the league title in our hands and her performances down the stretch were very poor. Of course she is a top player but after the Euro win and all the noise about her winning goal it became more about Chloe than the team - she often refused to pass and would take on ridiculous shots. Taylor rightly dropped her and went with Mary and Aoba and that's when the toys came out of the pram. Some of the quotes after the loan move were not great and to say she was denied a move because it didn't suit our club is probably spot on and right, but that happens all the time when a club pays good wages and holds the contract - it is a tough look when a player moans so publicly to garner sympathy.

As with most of the regular posters on this forum I never supported Taylor and his abrasive, stubborn methods were not a good way to go, his treatment of Rose Lavelle finished it for me. Added to a real lack of coaching ability and his inability to change things when the going was a bit tough - in most big games (except Barca at home) he was shown up with lack of planning and flexibility during matches - meant I cheered when Theresa sacked him.

As with Cleavers I wish her good luck and agree it was best for all. But I don't care how she plays for Arsenal all I worry about is us not conceding 3 tonight and hopefully through adversity the ladies will stick together and grind out a result.

Terrible tonight but not once have i thought if only Kelly was still with us.

Kelly had no respect for the club. As others have said it was all about her and whilst she clearly had a beef with Taylor she’s jumped on the anti City bandwagon since she joined Arsenal so as far as I’m concerned she’s history. Shes one that absolutely needed to go.

Sky just said Chelsea have used 49 players in the WSL this season. Is there no restriction in squad size in the WSL?

To compete in the Barclays WSL, teams must have a Tier 1 license. To obtain that license, teams must fulfil various criteria including operating an academy, playing on a grass pitch and having a maximum squad of 25 players, of whom at least eight are homegrown.

Chelsea doing what Chelsea do and brought in a bag full in the January transfer window.

She's the one player I regret us losing, she was capable of all kinds of good stuff, especially shooting when unexpected.

I hope you don't ever get her :-)
She had a knack for scoring against the ragettes too!

She appears to be a good person too. I remember seeing on then Twitter, a few years ago, she sent a pair of her boots to a young girl who had tweeted her about how big of a fan she was of her.

This is the ex City player we (Chelsea) should have bought in January.

Just buy everyone. Already used 49 players this season- you just need another 20 or 30 players. Help yourselves to Hemp, Greenwood and Shaw. You clearly don’t want any competition.
