But is "Chelsea Rent Boy" actually homophobic? Its a prostitution joke about the Chelsea player, not the sexual orientation itself. People can go all day arguing the semantics of chants which becomes another problem. The Premier League's stance looks to be shaky.it is deemed homophobic

You either ban all defamatory chants or don't. Pick and chosing certain chants using flimsy legislation as seen in "Chelsea Rent Boy" which can be argued that it does not attack a protected characteristic is where the problem arises.
